Antibiotics + ACV OK With Diverticulitis?

Posted By Fern (Maui, Hawaii) on 10/02/2025

Hello,

I was just diagnosed with diverticulitis at ER. They prescribed antibiotics so am taking those, but got online right away to see how I can heal myself. Found your very excellent website, thank you, and read about the diverticulitis on there. So, is it alrlight to use the ACV while taking the antibiotics? This may be a silly question, but sometimes it's recommended not to use the natural aids while taking antibiotics. Thank you for your insights!

I have always recommended Swedish-Bitters to people suffering from diverticulitis.

Read my post: https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/diverticulosis-diverticulitis-treatment7.html#sb

You can mix-and-match if you want to. Anti-biotics are a scorched earth type of approach. Not only do they kill the bad but also the good. Leaving you with leaky gut among other things. Garlic (poorman’s penicillin) or a high grade oregano oil capsule will get you there also. But the heal the gut also, I use Swedish Bitter.

Hey, that is a very important question, and one that should be really understood.

So, antibiotics are the most toxic prescription a doc can give you. Yes there are all kinds of meds that wreak havoc on the human body, making natural remedies much much better options.

My wife had a lower lung infection back in 2016 that just would not go away. We tried everything, and it didnt work. So she had no choice but to go see the doc.

We were in croatia at the time, and they are big believers in natural healing. He prescribed an inhaler with H2O2 3%. It had an instant effect. After 2 doses, she felt better. 3 days later had no nagging little couch. 5 days gone. She kept it up for the 14 days that she was prescribed, and it has never come back.

Now I know, this is about intestinal issue not lung. But that same doc gave here a big paper on how bad antibiotics are for the intestines. He said research from Croatia and Bosnia had shown that they destroy the intestines to such a degree that the damage-also hidden long term damage-they incur is catastrophic. In fact they stood by the practice of never prescribing antibiotics unless it was life or death.

The use of those drugs is horrendous. Now, I dont know the severity of your issue, but ACV is a much much better response. Clean up your diet, add more fiber, ACV is great, turmeric and grape seed extract are all you need.

Best of luck to your healing!
