Hi Marilyn, I also have alpha anti trypsin deficiency. Check that you don't have candida like l do, which turns to fungi. Try a good clean diet like Donna gates ecology diet with lots of coconut kefir water, fermented vegetables and fermented probiotics to get the good gut microbes also things like garlic, cayenne, lemon juice in water astralagus herb, codyceps herb, lots of water to hydrate the body hope this helps.
