I use Colloidal Silver to kill viruses. I take two tablespoons three times daily on an empty stomach.

Do you know how many ppm are in the silver that you make or the amount of mg's in a given amount of distilled water of your mix?

I'm trying to get an idea of just how much silver you are describing per day that has been effective for you to fight viruses.

Below is an abstract of a study that tends to confirm what Dave is suggesting about silver and hepatitis B. One problem though is that they used silver nanoparticles in the study and the majority of silver made at home and silver sold on the internet is often times another type such as ionic silver or silver chloride. The majority of recent studies are done using silver nano particles. There aren't nearly as many studies posted about the other types of silver so it is impossible to say if they will have exactly the same effect as the silver nanoparticles used in the studies.

The only way to know for sure what type and quality of silver you are using is to make it yourself, that way you can know exactly what is in it, what strength it is, if it is capped or not and that it actually is silver nanoparticles, if that is what you are trying to make. Note that in this abstract they mention the use of both 10 nm and 50 nm size silver particles, but the abstract doesn't specifically mention which size is most effective, but they do specifically say that the 10 nm size was effective at binding to the HBV virions and inhibiting their production. Other studies I have read seem to point toward the 10 to 20 nm size range as being effective while particles sizes below 5 have shown varying toxicity to human tissue and organs and larger size particles have shown to be less effective than the 10 to 20 nm size particles.

On a related note there was a woman who posted on Earth Clinic about how her husband cured himself of HCV using colloidal silver for nine months. He purchased a 5 gallon carboy of colloidal silver online and took it daily for the nine months. I posted a copy of that post at the bottom of this page.

BACKGROUND:

Silver nanoparticles have been shown to exhibit promising cytoprotective activities towards HIV-infected T-cells; however, the effects of these nanoparticles towards other kinds of viruses remain largely unexplored. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of silver nanoparticles on hepatitis B virus (HBV).

METHODS:

Monodisperse silver nanoparticles with mean particle diameters of approximately 10 nm (Ag10Ns) and approximately 50 nm (Ag50Ns) were prepared from AgNO3 in HEPES buffer. The in vitro anti-HBV activities of these particles were determined using the HepAD38 cell line as infection model.

RESULTS:

Ag10Ns and Ag50Ns were able to reduce the extracellular HBV DNA formation of HepAD38 cells by >50% compared with the vehicle control (that is, HepAD38 cells in the absence of silver nanoparticles). Silver nanoparticles had little effect on the amount of HBV covalently closed circular DNA (cccDNA), but could inhibit the formation of intracellular HBV RNA. Gel mobility shift assays indicated that Ag10Ns bound HBV double-stranded DNA at a DNA:silver molar ratio of 1:50; an absorption titration assay showed that the nanoparticles have good binding affinity for HBV DNA with a binding constant (Kb) of (8.8 +/- 1.0)x10(5) dm(3)mol(-1). As both the viral and Ag10Ns systems are in the nanometer size range, we found that Ag10Ns could directly interact with the HBV viral particles as revealed by transmission electronic microscopy.

CONCLUSIONS:

Silver nanoparticles could inhibit the in vitro production of HBV RNA and extracellular virions. We hypothesize that the direct interaction between these nanoparticles and HBV double-stranded DNA or viral particles is responsible for their antiviral mechanism.

[YEA] In response to Veronika from Perth, Australia's post on the Tooth Abscess page...

No side effect? I read a lot about colloidal silver and it is quite scary. I want do give a go as I have infection under my huge filling (thank you mr. only one from village dentist from my childhood) and they want me to do root canal treatment and get rid of the tooth completely and as it doesn't hurt or anything I want try alternative way first.

Colloidal silver is the most amazing thing in the world! Please don't be scared of it. We have been taking it for over 15 years. I first found it when my husband found out he had hep C.. We did 2 years of medications and injections with our Dr's. After 2 years the virus was much worse and he was in very bad shape. Our oncologist told him to go home and enjoy his time left and that he would try to get him on a liver transplant list in Omaha Nebraska . I came home and found Colloidal Silver. Long story short we purchased a 5 gallon carboy. Jerry took 4 TBS a day for 9 months . The virus is gone!! It has never returned. That was in the year 2000..He is as healthy as a horse now. We have since purchased approx 5 more carboys since then. We have used it for bladder infections, tooth infections, arthritis, colds & lung infections.

We have saved the lives of MANY animals who had parvo virus and cats with FIV virus. My father in law used it for arthritis and got off all his medications as well as selling his hot tub. In the process it lowered his blood pressure and was able to get off high blood pressure pills as well. He is now 80 and just drove 9 hours from Kansas to Texas to spend the holidays with us. The read alone is worth your time. Nothing to be afraid of I promise you. We are real people. Never turned blue lol.. Healthy and happy. We LOVE silver. It saved my husband's life. I can't say enough good things about it. My entire family take it now. We buy the carboys and split it up tween the family members.
