Hi Terry, I am a fellow sufferer. It is hard when doctors do not want to help. If you look down the eiments section under mucus issues there are a few suggestion icluding my own. I have not found a quick solution. Some days are better than others, but a clean diet without too many carbs seems vital at least at first. Lisa, Bill and ted usually have some great suggestions, I know it can be beat. Best to all the great folk on this site and to you Terry.Christine

I had two full pulmonary work ups tests were all negative. I had excess mucous in my lungs a thick heavy flora and I was wheezing, my ears hurt a little. I was coughing up mucous all day, but no nasal congestion at all. Researched and zeroed in on dental issues met with my holistic dentist who blew up the digital xray BIG! Removed both root canals and a wisdom tooth all were infected this was the cause! Believe me most MD will never ever think of this as the cause. Then I met with my ND who did ozone injection into sinuses and into the tooth extraction sites and surrounding area this eliminated most of the problems, but I was given instructions to clean out my lungs. Colloidal silver with nano-particles, put one 1 drop peppermint oil and 1 drop eucapytus oil in nebulizer do this 3-4 times a day 10-15 minutes deep full breaths . I was instructed to use steam (water and Eucaplytus oil) with towel draped over me the ND told me to get mucinex and cough it up. I was told to hang off the bed but since I have a back inversion board I just used that the gravity pulls all the mucous out. Be well
