Allergic reaction to unknown cause

Posted By Sunny (Havasu, Az, Usa) on 08/04/2011

I have recently been having an allergic reaction where my tongue and glands under my tongue and jawline swells. The first few times it happened was after I had drank some red wine with dinner- and I thought that possibly I had developed an allergy to wine. But then it happen one night when I had not had any wine- so I am not sure what is causing it. I have tried keeping a food/drink diary, but so far I have not seen any pattern.

I just found your site and read about the ACV and water for allergic reactions - I have been taking the ACV and water drink for a few years for gerd as needed but am thinking I will try it if I have another problem. I would really appreciate any suggestions you may have- by the way - I love this site! Thank You!

Hi Sunny, you could be allergic to one of these: Wheat, Egg, Soy, Milk, Nuts, Peanut or Sesame. They are all known to cause allergic reactions. I am allergic to soy and it makes me itchy everywhere but I am pretty sure that when you get a swollen tongue that it is much more serious and you need to find out what it is that's causing it. Also check your medications and supplements. Hope this heps. Lily.
