Need Help With Allergic Reaction to Apple Cider Vinegar

Posted By B5563 (South Africa) on 08/10/2016

I started using ACV (organic) in late July taking 2tbsp in a glass of water - I have used it before but not long term. After taking it for 3 weeks my nose started running with a dreadful headache, but I didn't suspect the ACV, this lasted for 2 weeks, then I noticed a strange rash on my shins (not itchy), again I didn't suspect the ACV. Suddenly last week I developed a crazy rash on my left inner arm and the inner tops of my thighs, I stopped the ACV almost a week ago, but am not getting much relief from the rash and the unbelievable itching. I am taking anti-histamine once a day and applying calamine lotion and bathing in a borax and bicarbonate of soda bath - but the rash seems to be getting worse and spreading.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to reverse the obvious allergic reaction to the ACV?

Well I'm sure others will have suggestions for you...but as to it being an allergic reaction to ACV....I have to wonder. I don't think it's the ACV, but instead what the ACV is activating in your body...if that makes sense? A real allergic reaction would have happened very soon after ingesting, but I could be mistaken.

It sounds more like toxins being released and trying to make their way out of the body. Are you moving your bowels daily? Drinking lots of water? No junk food/sugar etc?

A few suggestions for now aside from- actual medical intervention(have you seen a doctor?) 1) trying some Coconut oil topically 2) some bromelain to help with inflammation 3) small amounts of sea salt on the tongue - may have to take more than once...see how you feel afterwards, of course. By all means do not hesitate to get medical intervention if it's getting worse! Not worth getting ill over it!
