Advice needed on how to raise low hdl cholesterol level

Posted By Sayd (Dallas, Texas) on 08/21/2014

Any good advice on what to do with extremely low hdl level ('good' cholesterol) for an active 29 year old female, who works out 5-6 times a week and is on a great diet for the past 2 years. Thank you.

@Sayd: Are You getting adequate Omega 3 EFA's like Flax & Fish Oil??

Adequate Iodine and Coconut Oil will improve possible Thyroid (metabolism) problems. Red Yeast Rice will likely help. ACV also helps w/ metabolism of both fats & sugars.

Hi Sayd, Extra virgin Olive oil is said to help in increasing the HDL cholesterol. You can start with one tea spoon, keep in mind that this oil is not heated.

Good Luck, Baldev
