Acid Reflux W/ Pain and Burning Skin Sensation

Posted By Ben001 (Bournemouth, Uk) on 02/19/2012

Hi, my problem started 14 years ago. I had a burning senstion in my stomach. I was sent to the hospital for xrays (oesophagus intestine etc. It showed inflamation but no sign of an ulcer etc. I was then given medication (losec). Thing is I have over the years I have had flare ups of this. Getting worse each time. Normally have gone to a doctor & they just given medication to disperse the acid. The other problem is that it is accompanied alot with a pressing sensation on the left side (intestine area) whenever it occurs the past few years I have burning senstaion on the knees, elbows face lips, chest etc. That of cause sends me to the doctor each time but I never seem to get to the bottom of it. I hope someone can help. Thanks, Darren

Ok. Here is the list of side effects associated with Losec.

Headache, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, constipation, flatulence, abdominal pain, bronchospasm, muscle pain, joint pain, blurred vision, depression, dry mouth, urticaria, bullous eruption, erythema multiforme, angioedema, anaphylaxis, fever, photosensitivity, paraesthesia, vertigo, interstitual nephritis, alopecia, somnolence, insomnia, increased sweating, gynaecomastia, rarely impotence, taste disturbance, stomatitis, GI candadiasis, liver enzyme changes, liver dysfunction, encephalopathy in severe liver disease, blood disorders, peripheral oedema, hyponatraemia, malaise, reversible confusion, agitation and hallucinations in the severely ill.

If it were me, I would ditch the medication, I suspect your medication as the cause. Change your diet, get rid of anything that causes acid reflux. Bread, Sugars, starchy food, alcohol. Contrary to what people believe oranges and other acidic fruits become Alkaline in the stomach so more oranges and the like will help. Try taking Cayenne Pepper in capsules after meals, just 1 or 2 at first. Drink 2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar in water through the day, these things will fix your acid reflux issues first. Then you can see whether the Losec was causing you the other issues, be aware that some side effects may have become permanent due to damage to organs or nerves. It may take some time to repair damage that is not irreversible so be patient.

Any other drugs you may be taking also need to be looked at, you would not believe the list of crap some people are on. Doctors just do not know the continuing harm they cause by prescribing drugs for the side effects of the drugs. etc etc etc.

I hope this helps.
