Dear Linda,
There are a number of things you can try here.
Is he a breastfed baby? If so, you might try contacting a local La Leche League Leader. These moms often have a lot of experience and help for crying babies. Getting help in person may be helpful. Also, if he is a breastfed baby, sometimes if mom gives up certain foods, the baby will stop crying. (If I ate dairy as a nursing mom it make some of my babies colickly.)
My heart does go out to you. My second child cried continually for 9 months. It was dreadfully draining and discouraging. I cried a lot too! (And he is a wonderful young man of 20 now and very healthy.)
