What can do for my baby who is 3 years and 5 months old yet weighs between 13kg and 15kg. She has a very poor eating habit also.

Dear Roseline,

Is the doctor concerned? From what I can read on growth charts, she is below average but not off the charts low. Since the charts are all average, some children have to be smaller. Is she otherwise healthy? Does she run and play and talk?

When you say she has poor eating habits, does this mean she is picky or just doesn't eat much at a meal? What does she like to eat? If you can get avacados, they are a high fat food and great for most children. Juice can fill a child up so they don't eat foods with more protein and fat, so I limit juice in children for the most part.

Are you and your spouse large or small?

I am sorry to ask so many questions. Often children are small and don't eat a lot and are fine. And yes, there can be concerns at other times.

My oldest child was a very petite child. He was in the 5th percentile at one point. His weight gain was quite slow when he was a toddler. And he was not the best eater. He is now a robust, healthy, and above average height young man.
