High Doses of Vitamin C

Question by M on 04/04/2007

I took high doses of Vitamin C with some success but I started having recurrent fever blisters that diminished when I stopped the supplement. Thanks again

It depends on what kind of vitamin C you are taking. Usually it has to be sodium ascorbate vitamin C and some baking soda. Vitamin C is both a prooxidant and an antioxidant depending on whether it is acid or alkaline. Having problems with vitamin C other than the acid issue has more to do with glandular functions that is impaired, usually heavy metals are high and taking coriander will help remove the heavy metals. The body lacks cortisol, so taking peppermint oil a couple of drops will help reduce that blisters.
