Hi Ted, My 4 yo male miniature schaunzer has been treated with your 'mange' remedy weekly and his itchy skin HAS NOT improved. I use 50/50% diluted ACV to clean his ears. His diet is total RAW blended veggies / minced beef or mutton or chicken or raw salmon and yet he is still having hot spots on his body. Sometimes, his body looks as tho he is having chicken pox. I also use MOM to apply all over his body. Can tell that he itches as he would scratch himself even after a shower. I have to bath him twice weekly becos we have a hot climate all year round. What other remedies might you have that I can try on him
I adopted him a year ago as he would have gone to a shelter. He had failed a blood test that didnt allow him to go with his former owners into New Zealand. I guess he must have been kibble fed in the past and I am wondering if its just his body trying to detox itself

You need to dissolve some Borax in the ACV as well. Do not be frightened of borax. To me its a miracle supplement. Checkout Ted's (and Bill's) info that is variously to be found on Earth Clinic.Replied by Merryanne (Orange City, Florida, Usa) on 12/01/2010
I am sorry about you pets skin problem, but the treatments you have been giving are good ones, but at this time it might be a good thing to have a skin moisturizing day by applying a little coconut oil to his whole body and leave on for about 2 days then another treatment like you did before, but just a little coconut oil goes a long way. Good luck. Merryanne in FLReplied by Debbiefudge (Brighton, East Sussex, Uk) on 03/01/2011
Hi, regarding your dogs skin condition.
I would use an antifungal shampoo. Rinse well and then make up a solution of half water/half WHITE vinegar and pour all over as well as soaking the dogs paws in it and leave to dry. Also use the same mixture, freshly made to clean your dogs ears instead of the ACV. Make some more solution into a spray bottle and spray your dog twice a day, don't forget his paws/pads, make sure it go's between his toes.
Take all the veggies out of his diet for now and see if that improves him. Add half a clove of garlic to his food and fresh parsley. Add some fish oil.
Think about giving him a teaspoonful a day of FOOD GRADE Diatomaceous earth. You can mix it in with the fish oil. And some probiotic yogurt, (no sugar). Preferably, make your own. This has all worked wonders for my dog.Replied by Lou (Tyler, Tx) on 08/31/2011
I read that Mayonnaise works well on a dogs skin and coat in the case of mange.
