Zinc Acetate or Ordinary Zinc?

Question by R.O. on 11/29/2006

Cold showers are helping my large pores but I find it only temporary, but then again I'm in the early stages, so I should give myself more time. Thanks, Ted, for the advice about large pores. I have one problem though my local health food store doesn't carry zinc acetate. The person in the store told me to take ordinary zinc.Is there a brand of zinc acetate that you could recommend or should I just take plain zinc Thanks

There are other forms of zinc, such as zinc chloride, zinc gluconate, and zinc citrate. Those are the ones I think have the least problems. Possibly chelated zinc, biozinc might work, but they take longer. Zinc sulfate causes vomiting and people do have issues with this form of zinc
