A small pinch of borax, in a water taken on an empty stomach in the morning will have a calming effect throughout the day and reduce the hair pulling. This I would take for about 2-3 days, on the average to reduce that strange urge.
As to the Apple Cider Vinegar, the usual remedy would be 2 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar PLUS 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 glass of water that I take once in the morning and once before bedtime. The baking soda and the apple cider vinegar should have some calming effect and yet more energy also. However in my personal opinion I suspect that calcium buildup is what causes some irritating aspects due to calcium shells formed by nanobact and when in large numbers they clogged up the tiny microcapillaries, and therefore in certain conditions, a freshly squeezed lime 8 teaspoon (which is actually one whole lime) plus 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 glass of water is more effective in raising the body's pH, reduce excess calcium which reduces excess serum calcium which leads to excess calcium deposits in tissue, which leads to bacterial colonies forming beneath the calcium deposits, that finally leads to itchiness.
In the event the remedy above is not working another easy remedy is to shampoo my hair with just plain distilled vinegar (it's cheaper and just as effective as apple cider vinegar for hair applications) during the evening hours. It takes about two weeks to noticed improvement at the very least, but quite often most people would notice improvements within 1-2 days. In the event the stress and irritation is still there, vitamin B complex I might take also, where most of them are of 100 mg each except for the B12, biotin and folic acid. And also the missing B complex can be supplement, which I do take using brewer's yeast. However, I would take it if I am stress (like hair pulling) or lack of energy, which works well the next day. Therefore I would probably take it for 2 days out of a week should do and quite often I don't even have to take it for more than 2 weeks, which amounts to only 4 days total.
