Dear ML:
A very common problem is the fungus that is what caused the nose to close when going to homes. Most homes, at least in U.S. have high fungus count and sinus the major caused turned out to be fungus. The major source is from the carpets, but worse is the wall to wall carpeting and the dirty air conditioning or heating filters (if they have any!). The best way to get rid of stuffy air of a home filled with fungus is the 10% solution of ammonium chloride, or a weak 1-3% BoPeep ammonia cleaner with 97% (roughly) water and put that on a sprayer and spray lightly over carpets, etc. The ammonia sprayer needs good ventilation. After spraying leave the room for a couple of hours or preferably half a day or more. This is the usual procedure of removing fungus. I used a more complacted solution, which is 10% ammonium chloride with 1% - 2% milk of magnesia solution, and 5% xylitol for example is a rough mixture I used and may change the formulation from time to time.
In any event the sinus was triggered when oil pulling supposed to be rinsed and not swallowed. A vinegar or apple cider vinegar I would usually add baking soda otherwise acid loving virus may take advantage of that situation especially if the body's bicarbonate levels are low.
The other thing is a low potassium level can result in acidity of the throad, sinus areas causing a sinus issue. The remedy I used is simply 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, plus 1/4 teaspoon potassium citrate (tripotassium citrate) or potassium bicarbonate if potassium citrate isn't available dissolved in 1/2 or 1 glass of water taken twice a day. In some cases 1/8 teaspoon of sea salt in 1/2 glass of water will clear the sinus, as the sea salt reduces the swelling bought on by hypoosmolarity from low electrolytes as in sodium, potassium and magnesium. Hence a small amount of sea salt for a couple of days plus baking soda with potassium and removal of fungus in th ehome should be able to resolved some of this issues. In any event an oil pulling, they should be rinsed with water, so the bacteria won't get recirculated is an important one also.
