Of course, there is another alternative from something as simple as cows lifespan and sheep's breeding age in extending or moving the menopausal period to a later date, thus delaying or minimizing the effects of the ovarian cysts. Take for instance the effect of water rich with bicarbonates, such as magnesium bicarbonate:
http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2002/04/08/1017206303625.html
"When we looked at the stock records of the farms it proved everything Jim Watts said," Beckett says. "It was well-known among local farmers. Some of the animals were living twice as long as normal. Most lived at least 30 per cent longer. Cattle on some farms would live to 18 to 21 and were still producing twin calves at 17 to 18. Yet on nearby farms the cattle were too old and no longer breeding at 12 to 13, which is normal. It was the same with sheep. Eight years was normal for sheep, and on some properties they were living from 12 to 15, and still lambing."
It would therefore be reasonable that by allowing the body's pH to remain in an alkaline state, from whatever the diets we are taking which tends to be acidic, where trying to achieve a urinary pH of 7.0, which is actually neutral would be one way of reducing ovarian cysts. Cysts in general contains semisolids and liquids and are encased. They are formed if the fats get excessive, calcium gets too much, for example and it blocks the capillary flow causing such cysts. Whenever the body is in an acidic state, much like acid rain eating up Greek statues, the acidity causes the bones to leech out calcium, causing high blood serum calcium levels, which is frequently found in people with acidosis.
Assuming if the body is in alkaline state, which in my definition to be at least 7.0 neutrality, or urine pH of 7.0, this is a more alkaline state taking some baking soda, some potassium and magnsium supplements necessary to balance the body's electrolytes. When this occurs, serum blood calcium is reduce, thus further formation of ovarian cysts is reduce.
In my own experience I found reduction of tissue and serum calcium to work best when citric acid 1/4 teaspoon and baking soda 1/4 teaspoon taken twice a day often removes the body's calcification best. Magnesium helps displace the excess blood calcium and increases the body's utilization of calcium. Often it takes two molecules of magnesium for every one molecule of calcium. Unfortunately most of our diets magnesium : calcium ratio is at a point where calcium is excess of magnesium, further making worse the serum calcium levels.
The other possibility is the eating food high level of vegetable oils, may cause the body to have high oils also blocks normal hormone functions, and eating foods rich in trans fatty acid can turn the body upside down. Margarine, fried chicken, french fries, potato chips, for me are a real problem, both its effects on high blood pressure, as well as reducing the body's effectiveness of natural hormones blocked by the oils.
I remember in every instance of people who live to the age of 100, at least in Thailand anyway, are vegetarians, minimal processing of foods, and sometimes, but not often eat meat, but those meat are quite often fish, rather than pork, chicken, or beef.
Their foods, are often low in oils, especially vegetable oils. People think fats are bad for you, I think it is more like cooked vegetable oils which is the real problem.
In fact I had a chance to talk with people who live in rural areas of Thailand, also known for living long lives, coming to visit the big city of Bangkok. They told me they never seen vegetable oils before and never used them in cooking! Vegetable oils in fact are only used in the city of Bangkok, well known for short lives, and other Western style diseases (heart disease, cancer, and diabetes).
Therefore to reduce ovarian cysts I think reduce vegetable oils used in deep frying, or in cooking. Take them sparingly only to use them as a supplements, such as evening primrose oil, once or twice a week, some flaxseed oil, and some fat emulsifiers, such as cottage cheese, or even better, granulated powdered lecithin.
Alkalizing can be done many ways, but I think for an ovarian cysts, the one that I know to work well in reducing serum calcium is taking 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda with 1/4 teaspoon of citric acid twice a day on an empty stomach. Taking some magnesium citrates, or magnesium chloride, 250 mg. twice a week, I think should be sufficient. It depends on people and severity of condition and sometimes, if it is need more maybe it can be taken for 5 days out of week also. Other variations to alkalizing I think is 8 teaspoon of lime, or possibly lemon, with 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda to 1/2 glass of water taken twice a day. Or apple cider vinegar 2 tablespoon plus 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda taken twice a day should also be helpful. The apple cider vinegar and the lime/lemon formula should balance most of the sodium: potassium ratio within a reasonable range. But magnesium supplements is still needed to get all those electrolytes balance. The funny thing about the commercial electrolytes is that a good one should have a good balance sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium and phosphorus. But they only have 4 out of a possible 5, perhaps, to reduce cost. But whatever the reason, it is you who have to fix these problems yourself. Since the diets are high in calcium and phosphorus, at least looking at sodium, potassium and magnesium as a major electrolytes, and also bicarbonates, citrates, acetates to keep the pH in balance is an important one.
Vitamins of B complex, especially B6 are synergistic with magnesium and should help the body be more sensitive to hormones. Antioxidants prevent the oil in your body from oxidizing and "hardening" thus causing blockages inside the body which can also bring about cysts. Therefore the oil soluble vitamin E should be greatly helped taken at least once every other day or in more extreme condition taken once a day. It is difficult to determine how sensitive a person is on vitamin E, but the usual dose is between 200 i.u. to 400 i.u./day. Vitamin C sodium ascorbate is an important one too and increases the body's antioxidant, in particular, the water soluble component at least so that this may help maintain or reduce the body's to forces of free radicals that may bring about cysts formation.
The final issue is most doctor's med that attempts to control, bind, increase hormones, may bring about ovarian cysts, whether they are "the pill", or hormone replacements. This should be looked at with caution.

Mollasses and Organic Apple Cider Vinegar were diffucult to find here but I was determined. I combined Beetroot, ACV and Mollasses in no particular dosage, and took first thing in the morning and last thing at night. I also stopped meat and reduced diary foods to the best of my ability.
The pains stopped within a week, It became difficult to feel or touch the cyst anymore, it was like it had reduced or dissapeared.
Its two months now, the cyst and pain are all gone, I didnt even go back for a check up. I still take beetroot, mollasses and Acv, though I have now reduced it to once a day to prevent any re-occurrence.
The taste isnt fantastic and needs getting used to, but this does work, I was able to loose baby-fat around my waist effortlessly apart from additional benefits of beetroot and mollasses.
This site is wonderful, Keep this up and spread the good work ladies, IT DOES WORK.
