1/2 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate, plus 1/4 teaspoon of potassium citrate taken usually three times a day in 1/2 to 1 glass of water.
A drinking water made of what I called ORMUS water, a very simple and crude one is as follows:
1/4 teaspoon of sea salt plus 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda plus 1/4 teaspoon of sodium carbonate (washing soda). I often called this by another name as salt carbicarb water remedy too. But because of the presence of monoatomic elements, which increases intercellular communication raising the immunity, it can also be called ORMUS drinking water too. The solution is kept overnight and used as a drinking water throughout the day.
The other often overlooked cases of halitosis, is to see a dentist. There may be cavities, and unhealed gums, or wisdom tooth issues that needs cleaning that a dentist can do the cleaning or plugging up of cavities with a preferred composite materials as opposed amalgam tooth fillings.
In more advanced cases, I may add more potassium citrate or potassium bicarbonate, but baking soda is always added, to maintain the critical sodium: potassium balance and check whether the mouth pH is 7 to 7.35. Quite often in halitosis, the problem is the pH of mouth is frequently below 7. And if that happens, it helps to take the baking soda and potassium citrate.
Potassium citrate or potassium bicarbonates causes the mouth pH to be alkaline, while the sodium bicarbonate can have some effects but not that much, using both can help the best as mentioned in the above to quickly alkalize the mouth pH within a matter of hours.
Finally there are certain acid forming foods and fungus rich foods that needs to be avoided. These include wheat products, peanuts, potatoes, white bread, white flour and dairy products, and all sweet foods, crackers, and replaced with rice, vegetables, fish, and chicken and ocassional lean meats.
Most weight gains comes from lack of potassium balance, low high protein foods, low amino acids and taking vitamin B complex. Vitamin B complex in general increases appetite, while zinc lowers appetite. Whey protein taken only in the morning and eating an early dinner before 4.00 p.m. wont further cause weight gain. The only instance of a clear decrease in weight is just eating salads and vegetarian foods all day. A high protein foods will increase weight, but not body fat, muscle mass is usually responsbile for most of the weight gain, not the fat. All sweet and sour foods should be reduced and 1000 mcg of chromium polynicotinate three times a day and white beans and 1 tablespoon of granulated lecithin for a month also decreases weight. However most of the decrease in weight from the lecithin comes from reduction in fatty buildup in the liver and blood vessels. Chromium lowers blood sugar which in turn leads to weight loss. For me, it is best to drink plenty of water before, during and after meals so that bulk foods is reduced and caloric consumption is decrease. It is important to eat 1/4 the speed of eating a specific food so that the brain can trigger it is full. The brain is about 30 minutes too late before the stomach knows it is full. Eating slowly will cause the brain to register it being full. So just eat 4 times longer would help reduce food. Eating certain foods can trigger satiation far quicker, such as eating fish, salmon, saba fish, and whey protein. These help trigger the brain that it full since the body uses certain amino acid to tell the brain it is full. If there is not sufficient amino acid/protein in the blood it think it is full. Obviously eating snacks, crackers and potato chips cannot trigger the brain that it is full, especially if the manufacturer manages to sneak in monosodium glutamate, disguised as another names such as hydrolyzed protein, yeast extract or some other synonyms used. Therefore to prevent MSG from damaging the brain and further cause a binge eating, a taurine supplements 500-1000 mg also help protects the brain against the MSG and help reduce some problems related to obesity. However in older people it is the DHEA 12-25 mg that is most helpful in weight loss.
