Diabetic Ketoacidosis

Question by KH (Anonymous) on 06/10/2012

Hi Ted, I still appear to be struggling a bit with the Diabetic ketoacidosis - and can't seem to get rid of it. The Gymnema and other bits are helping to keep the Blood Glucose Level (BGL) reasonably under control - but I'm still not coping with the Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA).

At my last diabetes check-up my BGL was OK at 99, but my ketones were 0.8. In order to control the 'symptoms' of the DKA i.e. liver pain, lactic acid pains in legs, sore kidneys, and the breathing difficulties that follow - I've had to take a glass of water with 1/2 teaspoon baking soda and 1/4 citric acid (or lemon juice) at a rate 4 times between midday and through the evening. I've been taking this amount for about 2 weeks now. Unfortunately though - I'm getting edema in the ankles, and feel as if I have 'pressure' in the head. In addition my ears are 'ringing', I feel very 'woozy', and like I'm not quite here - fuzzy in the head. I'm also shaky, and finding it difficult with my balance (bump into things like walls, drop things).

I've added 1/3 teaspoon potassium bicarbonate tonight - just in case the amount of baking soda I've been taking has depleted my potassium levels a bit. This seemed to help for about 10 minutes for head symptoms - but they have since returned. I'm currently drinking about 3 litres of water a day - but wondered if this was sufficient since I seem to still be incredibly thirsty. I'm still on no carbs, and on a 3-5 days respite from the majority of supplements as recommended - but I'm at a loss what to do about the DKA. If I don't take the baking soda mix every day @ 4 times a day at least - the DKA symptoms are unmanageable - is there a chance the DKA (in time) will subside Do you have any suggestions on how I can at least minimize some of symptoms Thanks for any advice-

Keto Acidosis is frequently seen in patients seeking normal blood glucose for pancreatic insufficiency, causing diabetes due to your problem of Sjorgen's syndrome as the autoimmune was cured with borax and hydrogen peroxide, now we seek to cure it. There are 3 supplements that in medical journals appear to help besides baking soda and potassium:

  1. Alanine
  2. B2 vitamins
  3. B1 vitamins

50 mg each to 100 mg each for B1 and B2 seems to be the commonly given but if helped somewhat can be increased to B1 500 to 1000 mg, B2 maybe 250 mg. Alanine seems to help, 1000 mg twice a day is a good starting dose and can be increase as needed (tweaking).

The raw broccoli juice also further reduces and alkalizes and seems to be helping too. The pancreatic insufficiency can be prevented and some acidosis with pancreatic enzymes is worth the try.

One of the most unrecognized problems for diabetes (and ketoacidosis) seems to be the cadmium, not only is it undetectable with most lab equipment, but I found it is the major cause of autoimmune diseases as Sjorgren's syndrome, cancer, heart disease, behavioral disorders, and aging. Over the past 2 years I have looked at several zinc supplements that worked best, I found them to be zinc chloride, saturated solution, 1 drop twice a day seems to do a good job, for most cases of autoimmune disease, diabetes, and even cancer. That is the minimum drops but the range can vary between 2 drops to 8 drops. I am now doing a study on the maximum number of drops. Zinc displaces cadmium, as the cadmium lies directly below zinc and may help.

How is Ted doing Please give us an update. I love to learn about Ted's remedies. Hope he is doing better. In regards to diabetes type II I found a very interesting article by Thomas Smith, where he talks about the relationship of diabetes and cheap oils, and how they affect our cells. Here is the link: http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/salud/esp_salud08.htm. I think it is relevant and hope that you will allow people to read it, if so they wish. Thank you. Malu
