Shari: Chills are viral in nature. So I would consider taking zinc gluconate and the other one that helped me was either cinnamon toothpicks, or a toothpick soaked clove oil and is dipped in a cup of water. The antiviral nature of the clove or sometimes cinnamon should reduce the chills. However, it is important, at least for me under that condition to add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) in 1/2 glass of water taken twice or sometimes three times a day on an empty stomach. Alkalinity, zinc and clove are antiviral in nature and has helped me on many ocassions. However, in event of a chill or virus, I prefer to avoid oil pulling since body whenever it has the chills needs to reduce the oil or fat load, and is required whenever the body has the chills.
