Actually I come from an industry where they know there's a way to treat, although commercialization of them isn't profitable if it can't be patented. Since I am no longer associated with the industry there are some clues that were helpful. Basically in a chemotherapy, hair falls off. But also in a healthy person a hair can also fall off entirely for a number or reasons. One is that if the body cannot produce sufficient level of Growth Hormones, such as IGF-1, the hair falls off as same as chemotherapy. What chemotherapy does it it prevents cellular growth and when a person is deficient of growth hormone from toxic substance, high heavy metals, excessive hormones, overlooked dioxins, bisphenol A in canned food products, depleted Uranium exposures are some of the many things that is possible in neutralizing growth hormones. This is why steroids work. I had one interesting case where hair were falling out in large amounts for unknown reason inspite of supplements that was taken. However, what was not factored into the problem was the person had little sleep, which averages between 2-4 hours of sleep and slept only after 5 a.m. in the morning, due to the unusual work. Once normal patterns of sleep and time were establish as well as the addition of secretogogues, which helped increase growth hormone did the hair started to grow. The secretogogues I like to use is 2000-4000 mg of glycine, 4000 mg of glutamine, and 500 mg of niacinamide, as the simplest possible supplements I can think of. It is taken before sleep. The other addition such as citrulline, arginine, and ornithine may also help. These are nitric oxide promoters and are also related to growth hormone in a way, as is vitamin C sodium ascorbate. However if the person is deficient of manganese, and most supplements do not work because they are tablet form. The addition of wax, such as magnesium stearate, steric acid, tricalcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, drinking milk regularly, or burned toast, for example simply blocks absorption rendering the supplements completely useless for the entire day. This includes especially yogurt. Two cups can prevent absortion of nutrients. Manganese sulfate 25 mg for example should be taken in their powder form on an empty stomach otherwise it's not going to work. Vitamins and minerals liquid or powdered form is the better ones especially non tablet form, without waxes and calcium, or related things. In my experience, supplements generally do not work because of the additives. The worse form of supplements are the tablet form, followed quite closely by capsule form. Talbets form don't work because most don't dissolve completely within 15 minutes. Capsule form don't work because the gelatin capsules become glue or a gooey chemical that binds the supplements from entering to the bloodstream.
The other issue is the toxicity which leads to hair loss. Common one is depleted uranium, copper toxicity, arsenic, and a host of others. One way to tell is whenever hair mineral analysis reveals copper, arsenic, bismuth off the charts for example. Then the issue of hair loss becomes a toxic metal. On the other hand i have seen hair losses from lack of minerals, such as manganese, iodine, and others. The other is in medical diagnostics, especially hair loss, there is a requirement to check for body's hormones. An excess of certain hormones can lead to hair loss such excessive DHEA, can lead to problems. Therefore body's hormone, especailly growth hormone, if it is out of balance can lead to hair loss. Radioactive contamination can lead to homronal dysfunction too.
It is all easy to blame genetics. But the genetics are nothing but instructions to produce certain chemical inside the body that leads to normal function. Therefore even if genes were involved, it can either cause excessive or deficiency in chemicals inside the body. Therefore, the supplementation or suppression of certain biochemical found in the body is one way of restoring the problem without tactical problems of changing your genes through genetic engineering, which is not practical.
