I'm a strong proponent of ALA, it gives me very vivid dreams as well! Thioctic acid is a fat soluble form of ALA which, to my understanding, has a much longer half-life once within the body. I've been told any ALA one takes is pretty much used up in an hour.

Another great antioxidant is Glutathione.

Personally, I have to take it in moderation as it has quite the affinity with my kidneys, but have seen worthwhile improvement in gut health.
