How to Eat Goji Berries

While relatively new to many consumers, Goji berries have been a food source and medicine for thousands of years. Packed full of minerals and antioxidants, these crimson berries make a great addition to your diet!

Brightly colored berries are not only beautiful, they are highly nutritious. Goji berries contain fiber to benefit your digestive system, zeaxanthin, lutein, and vitamin A to promote eye health, and vitamin C for healthy skin, joints and immune function. Goji berries may even be protective against breast cancer.These amazing berries also contain protein, amino acids, and minerals like iron, selenium, potassium and copper.

Goji Berry Cleansing Breakfast

  • 1 mug hot Goji Berry tea (recipe below)
  • Rehydrated Goji Berries from your tea preparation
  • 1 organic apple

This light but delicious breakfast will give you the vitamins and antioxidants of Goji berries, the cleansing power of fresh lemon, and nutrients, fiber and energy from the apple.

Goji Berry Tea

  • 1 Tablespoon Goji Berries
  • 1 cup very hot water
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1-2 teaspoons raw honey

Pour hot water over Goji berries. Allow the berries to soak for 10 minutes. Remove the berries to enjoy rehydrated when they are cool. Add lemon juice and honey to your hot tea.
