I would like to know if I ad 1/4 tsp of borax to 1 L regular tap water, than it will neutralize the fluoride and other heavy metals and other impurities found in the water?
How long can I take the combination of 1/4 tsp. of borax 1 L water? can I take it for the rest of my life, everyday?
What is exactly the protocol to clean the body from fluoride and other heavy metals? Thank you

Hi Roland...You can certainly leech out the fluoride from your body using borax. Borax also acts as one of the best fungal killers and also kills bacteria as well as balances the hormones and is also good for bone.A more complete regimen to clear all dangerous halides from your body -- that's fluorides, bromides and chlorides -- is simply to take iodine. You can supplement iodine taking either Iodoral tablets or Lugol's iodine or simply use iodine foot-painting with tincture of iodine(as I do). Iodine will also leech out lead and mercury from your body as well.
Ways to clear heavy metals are -- take cilantro (chinese parsely, coriander leaf) three times a week in salads or just drink green tea several times a day. You can also take take sodium thiosulfate regularly to rid heavy metals from your body. See the relevant section here:
Sodium Thiosulfate Heavy Metal Detox
If you are using borax to clear fluorides then it is sensible to take this protocol for four days on with three days off every week.

I was under the impression green tea is one of the highest sources of fluoride.. unless the product specifically states fluoride has been removed.Replied by Sibylle from Los Angeles, Ca on 06/15/2012
Don't drink green tea for detox! Green tea has loads of aluminum fluoride in it. The tea plant is an aluminum and fluoride accumulator, it absorbs both from the soil. Black tea too for that matter and Roiibos tea. White tea due to being from younger leaves has less aluminum fluoride, but still some. The same is true for organic black green tea. What countries in this world have millions of cases of skeletal fluorosis? China and India... inform yourself.Replied by Tony from Church Hill, Tn, Usa on 06/16/2012
This reply is to Sibylle fropm CA:Where did you get that load of bullocks about green tea? Green tea is suggested by both Bill & Ted here at EC for helping rid the body of heavy metals. Now, I agree that not all green tea is created equal but for you to post here & tell people not to use it for detox is wrong!
I only buy organic green tea myself. That's the safest & best way to drink it. Just take a look at the information from the site mainly posted by Ted & Bill in regards to green tea. Your information is not correct! Thanks!

Ted has covered in the site that green tea does have fluoride but taken a cup or two a day, the benefits outweigh the risks. I came across some old Ted posts on the site where he uses a pinch of borax to negate the effects of fluoride when he drinks green tea (not sure if he takes them at the same time or different times though).Ted quotes:
"Tea is naturally high in fluoride so adding some borax will negate this effect."
"I take green tea myself and aware of some of the pitfalls. However, I take the necessary precautions, while avoiding white bread and white flour use, as well as taking some kelp, seaweed or even using iodine as a mouthwash to prevent the problems of iodine deficiency. "

"However, I always add a tiny pinch of borax, as some green tea may have fluoride and this aids in the removal."

I found some really interesting ideas on health & balance in a book I read (Folk Medicine) by D.C. Jarvis written back in the 50s on all of the elements that compete for the receptor sites in the thyroid gland. He explains the law of "halogen displacement" that shows how the relative atomic weight of the following: Flourine (19.0), Chlorine(35.5), Bromine (80.0) and Iodine (127.0) determines which one displaces the rest (if more than one are present in the body). Flourine will always displace chlorine, and Chlorine can displace both Bromine and Iodine. So, basically, Iodine is the underdog here and will always be displaced by those with a lower atomic weight.
His recommendations include avoiding chlorinated water, eating foods rich in iodine (cod liver oil and kelp along with certain vegetables) or taking Lugol's solution.
Thought this was worthwhile info to share!

C: It is also recommended to filter not only drinking water but also water for bathing or showering. If taking a bath, add a few grains of Sodium thiosulfate to neutralize any of those "ines" in the water or body. ST can also be consumed orally to remove those nasty "ines" but always be sure to supplement Iodine back for the Thyroid.S.T. can be purchased at local or online fish & aquarium or swimming pool supply stores as a commercial grade "de-chlorinator".

hey bill, I know it has been many years since you posted that comment but I just wanted to ask if you knew the dosage for lugols iodine and how much to take per day and etc, thankyou (:Replied by Jan from Mombasa on 09/27/2025
Hey Talia, whosoever Bill is, I guess I can help. By "accident" I was learning about Iodine today. The best way to take it for me is to use Lugol's Iodine 5 %. I started with 4 drops a day because I followed the advice of Dr. Marc Sircus. This man wrote several books, is a doctor and keeps it simple for nonscientists. E-Book available on Amazon (I guess).
Friendly regards
