How to Use Hydrogen Peroxide for a Tooth Abscess

Hydrogen peroxide is an inexpensive natural remedy for a tooth abscess. Hydrogen peroxide is made up of hydrogen and oxygen. It has antiseptic and antibacterial properties. The brown bottle of 3% hydrogen peroxide from the drugstore or pharmacy is ideal for treating an abscess. Never use full strength food grade hydrogen peroxide internally or externally.

Mix 1 tablespoon of your 3% hydrogen peroxide with 1 tablespoon of water. Use this diluted solution to hold and swish in your mouth for 2 minutes. Spit the solution out and rinse your mouth. Repeat the hydrogen peroxide swish every 2 hours during the day and again if you wake up in the night feeling pain.
