Turmeric Cure for MRSA

Treatment and Dosages

Earth Clinic's most popular remedy for MRSA is turmeric. Turmeric can be used internally or externally; many use it both ways! Vitamin C, a good diet and strict sanitary procedures are important when dealing with MRSA.

Dosages of Turmeric for MRSA

A therapeutic dose of turmeric is 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder in a glass of milk or water three times a day. It is best to take turmeric with a bit of fat and black pepper, so taking the turmeric in full fat milk with a sprinkle of black pepper is ideal. While some enjoy the flavor of turmeric milk or turmeric tea, others do not. Turmeric capsules are an alternative. 4-5 capsules 3 times a day is the suggested amount to take for MRSA. Because turmeric can be constipating for some, always take turmeric with a full glass of water.

How to Use Turmeric Externally for MRSA

Turmeric can be made into a paste for easy application topically. There are many different things that can be mixed with turmeric that also have healing properties.

  • Extra Virgin Coconut Oil - Mix 1 teaspoon turmeric powder with 1 Tablespoon of coconut oil.
  • Clay - Mix equal parts of turmeric and clay (bentonite or French green) with enough water to make a paste. Let it sit for 5 minutes. The clay will swell some and you may need to add more water.
  • Raw Honey - Raw honey, especially manuka honey have wonderful antibacterial and healing properties. Mix 1 teaspoon of turmeric into 2 teaspoons of honey.

Spread your paste onto the MRSA boils. Cover with a bandage. Change at least twice a day, or more if the boils are draining. Wash hands thoroughly after changing bandages.

Cohesive tape works well to attach gauze pads instead of adhesive bandages. Adhesive bandages used repeatedly can cause damage to health skin and increase the risk of the infection spreading.

Where to Buy Turmeric for MRSA?

Turmeric can be bought very inexpensively in bulk at health food stores and Indian grocers. It can also be bought online. Look for an organic brand from a reputable source. Turmeric capsules can usually be found at larger pharmacies, in health food stores, and online.

Additional Helps for MRSA Infections

  • A good diet is important when you are dealing with any kind of infection. Sugar and processed carbohydrates depress the immune system and should be avoided while you are treating MRSA.
  • Taking vitamin C while on the turmeric protocol is also a good idea.
  • Thorough handwashing is important when you are dealing with a MRSA infection in your home. You may wish to use paper towels for drying hands instead of cloth towels to avoid the spread of the disease.
  • Washing bath towels with a few tablespoons of bleach or a cup of vinegar will help to disinfect towels. Clothes can also be laundered with an added cup of vinegar to the washing machine.
  • Cleaning surfaces, especially in in the bathroom, with a straight vinegar will help to keep down the spread of infection as well.
