If you tried everything you could and nothing worked to relieve a stiff neck, you should look into TCM and Qi gong. Liver energy imbalances could result in a stiff neck/shoulders. Also, put your palm under your arm pit (keep your elbow down), right on the side of a shoulder blade try to feel with your fingers a muscle that might be stiff. Massaging this muscle or applying a suction cup for a few minutes will release tension in your neck.
