Alum Crystals Deodorant (Potassium Aluminum Sulfate) for Skin Tags in Armpits–

So I made-up a spray bottle of this natural deodorant using Alum (same stuff form the spice isle at the grocery store). I am about 2/3 through the 5 oz bottle and I’m pleased to report this stuff works great for small skin tags in the armpits. It is the most simplest and effective method I’ve tried.

Potassium aluminum sulfate, also known as (alum) a mineral salt, is used in pickling cucumbers, cosmetics and personal care products due to its astringent and bacteriostatic properties. I remember crystal deodorant stones sold back in the 1990’s as a natural alternative is commercial chemical deodorants. Alum possesses antiseptic quality which helps to destroy germs and prevents their growth on the body tissues. Alum acts by creating a salt layer on the skin that prevents bacterial proliferation. Studies have shown that alum can effectively inhibit the growth of various bacteria, including E. coli and S. aureus. This helps to neutralize bacteria and eliminate odor. While not specifically designed to treat skin viruses, alum's ability to inhibit bacterial growth and its astringent properties can be beneficial in managing skin conditions like warts, which are caused by virus (human papillomavirus family of viruses).

It acts as an excellent astringent that enables the skin tissue to shrink and thus, do not let the germs get into skin pores. It controls body odor. It can be applied directly on the perspiring areas of the body. As it is soluble in water, it mixes up with the sweat and stop the growth of bacteria that causes body odor. Those who suffer from the problem of foot odor should apply it on their feet regularly before going to bed in order to get relief from it.

Its deodorant effect lasts up to 24 hours, depending on the person.

Alum deodorant spray can be made by dissolving ground alum in water and spraying it on the underarms. Alum, a mineral salt, is known for its astringent and antibacterial properties, helping to neutralize odor-causing bacteria. You can also add a few drops of essential oils for a pleasant scent.

Recipe:

Spray bottle (re-purposed 5 oz bottle cleaned)

Ground alum powder (bought in spice isle)

Distilled water (or filtered, warm water)

Optional: Essential oils (tea tree)

Instructions:

Dissolve the Alum: In a spray bottle, combine 2-3 teaspoons of ground alum powder with a cup of warm water.

Shake Well: Ensure the alum is fully dissolved. You may need to shake the bottle to help it dissolve faster.

Add Essential Oils (Optional): If desired, add a few drops (20 drops) of your chosen essential oil to the solution.

Spray and Go: Shake the bottle before each use and spray on clean, dry underarms.

Application: Apply the spray after showering or as needed, ensuring your underarms are dry before applying.
