I have suffered severe sinusitis attacks for a number of years particularly after the birth of my second child. i have sometimes wondered whether eating desserts with custard have caused some of the terrible attacks I have suffered. Now that I have read about some of the ice-cream related problems by others I feel that there must be a link. On many an occasion I have woken up with pain around my eyes following an evening on which I have eaten custard. I am definitely going to try the apple cider vinegar treatment.

I was bad yesterday and this morning and had some Edy's Ice Cream and am now suffering from a sinus headache. It could just be a coincidence, but I'm gonna watch out in the future.

I had Baskin Robbins on Sat and a sinus infection 2 days later. Interesting.

I too came down with a nasty sinus infection w/in 24 hours of eating 1/2 serving of a small dairy queen Blizzard--I haven't been to fast-food place in years but I had a sore throat and thought an ice cream would be a treat for my throat!

I am totally amazed, I woke up this morning with a stuffy nose and a lot of sinus pressure. I took my daughter to BRAUMS yesterday for a mother/daughter thing, and now I am sick.

I started drinking milk shakes one time as a possible alternative to beer and sodas. I had quit drinking but needed and craved a high dose of sugar. Not to long afterwards, I developed a sinus infection afterwards and since have had nasal polyps since.

Am sure my family's (many farmers) consumption of milk and other dairy products has been responsible for not only sinus infections of which some were only thwarted by goldenseal/cayenne capsules but also my inertia and whole lack of interest in school subjects, doing homework, etc. If I had known then what I know now, I would have dropped off milk products years ago. I still have a dish of ice cream once in a while, with consequences, and grilled cheese sandwiches which do not seem to have as much effect on me. My younger daughter once told a group who was discussing one of the ladies sons who was not doing well in school, and the mother doubted that milk might have something to do with it, that "If you give my Mother a glass of milk, you had better have a bed ready for her in about half an hour". I wish we could get the schools to quit promoting the consumption of milk in their cafeterias.
