I have been suffering from LPR for about 3 months now. It all started after a upper respiratory infection. Suffered tremendously and lots of 'globus' in my throat. No help from ENT or GP docs. Finally read about the UES and LES. These are muscles that control the openings in our esophagus. They get weak from lack of Vitamin D3 and B12. I started a 10000 IU regimen of vitamin D3 and also a regular dose of B12 about a month ago.

My symptoms still come up once in awhile, but it is SO much better. Just search for LES and Vitamin D3 and see that many doctors have began to study this issue. When that muscle gets weak, it can allow pepsin and acid in to the esophagus. I am also overweight, so working on getting fit. But the vitamins have definitely helped me.
