I have been doing the OP, Black Walnut extract, rinsing mouth out with half drop of tea tree oil and water, dash of salt-cayenne pepper-baking soda, trying to get gums to grow back, re-mineralize teeth w/homemade toothpaste to up minerals needed {teeth were looking transparent, now don't}. molar on upper left of jaw hurt so bad, could wiggle it.(wiggleing it once was quite enough}
I put a whole clove in pastic sandwich bag and mashed it with a hammer, put clove on tooth, chewed it gingerly. Did not realize tooth was swollen-but swelling and pain is gone now! Will be able to make and wait for dental appt. without being in exceeding pain.

Using whole cloves for toothache remedy.
It really does work, I made a satchel of whole cloves, bashed it with a hammer, and gnawed at it for 15 min....finally relief!

I have been dealing with partial root canal for the past few months, and after a few weeks the temporary filling was lost. For someone like me who hates the dentist I couldn't find the time to go back... I used dental wax as a temporary filling but that didn't last and over the week the crown of my tooth that was remaining, broke off leaving the roots in my jaw and crack. I went to the dentist and he performed an emergency extraction after 45(broke it pretty good) I was on pain medication for two days with little relief. I found the website and looked through the list I had many and started going to the list. In my cabinets I found pure vanilla extract (instant relief), sea salt mouth rinse, hydrogen peroxide and garlic cloves all worked but didn't last long. Looked in my spices and found ground cloves and I mixed it with some black tea in a little pouch from the tea bags and to my amazement it worked!! Instant relief, didn't taste well but it worked!! I Recommend to people that might be skeptical to try the options found in this site for many alternatives to getting better.

I went to the dentist for a crown on one side and onlay on the other and was in excruciating pain. Called my dentist and was told to take 2 advils and 3 extra strength tylenol, the equivalent of Vicodin. No improvement. Called back and was told take 4 advils, the equivalent of Motrin. Still in pain. Called back and was told I could take 2 more advils. Instead, turned to EC and read about clove. Put it on gums around teeth and it immediately went to work and I was able to go to sleep. Woke up no pain. Thank you EC.

When recently I experienced a "puss bag" along the upper gum line, I knew it signified infection, but due to extensive dental work, I had no idea exactly where. I came here and saw how many reviewers spoke highly of clove oil. I used powdered cloves in some olive oil, soaked a cotton ball and applied for puss bag for 10 mins. I also placed another soaked cotton ball on suspected source of infection (which strangely enough was on the opposite side.of the jaw), and this took care of it in one application! I was amazed and grateful. Then I remembered that when I was a kid and had a toothache at school one day, the school secretary went and bought a product called Jiffy with small formed cotton balls that could be.placed on a sore tooth on the end of a toothpick -, this product was nothing more than clove oil. Thank you, Earth Clinic. Another round of antibiotics avoided!!

I have a toothache. Been going off and on for a few weeks. I am waiting until the dentist can see me. I read about the clove oil and ground cloves. All I had was ground cloves. I put some ground clove around the tooth and the pain is quite diminished. Tastes nasty though but anything to stop the pain.

I have to agree with this clove solution to tooth pain. I used clove soaked in Extra Virgin olive oil that I had in the kitchen and just put a spoon full in my mouth and gently kept it over the tooth that hurt. I also chewed some garlic a few times today too to alievate the pain. I also swished a diluted solution of DMSO in Pure water 2 table spoons in twenty ounces (20) on and off all day. (The pain started really bad when I ate a bowl of home made sauerkraut., It has never been refrigerated, I have just kept the sauerkraut under salted water). I also have been using on an off an extract of clove in alcohol and put into a little spray bottle for emergency tooth pain. When the clove extract is fresh it is an amazing anaesthetic and it works really fast. I have had my current batch for so long that it has lost much of its properties, but still possesses enough to solve the problem.
