I read someone else’s post about rubbing the right ear lobe. My spouse had the hiccups since yesterday morning. He tried a couple of tricks that did not work this time. The hiccups stopped-and-started all day, night and again today. I told him about this trick and he performed it in his vehicle on the way to an appointment for work. To be clear, he took his right pointer finger and thumb and rubbed the right ear lobe for at least 60 seconds.

When I asked him a few hours later, he had forgotten all about the hiccups. They were gone after he did this technique. That was easy!

Yes you do, it’s your “voice box”. Might not be as prominent on some people, but it’s there. Do the “C” thing and grasp the front of your neck midway between bottom & top & gently move that back & forth- that’s your Adam’s apple. If you’re still not convinced, say “A-a-ahh” in a low pitch while you’ve got that in your grasp & you can feel the vibration.

A friend showed me an easy way to get rid of my hiccups. I take my thumb and index figure so they form a " C ". I take the open part of the C and lightly squeeze on each side of my Adam's apple with those two fingertips and that has always worked for me to get rid of the hiccups! It is convenient because I can do it anywhere and don't need anything other than my hand! Art

I have been studying accupuncture and discovered that by squeezing the thumb hiccups disappear. My dad is 89 and when he gets them it works everytime. If it doesn't try squeezing (on each side of the nail base) other fingertips and see what happens. It sounds weird, however it does work!

Rub your right earlobe between your thumb and forefinger as soon as hiccups begin. This has worked for myself, my son, and a variety of others I have told.
