Enema Treatment for Hemorrhoids

I can't believe this one isn't rated higher! Normally, rutin and cayenne pepper have been enough to to manage hemorrhoid inflammation and pain. However, this wasn't cutting it with my most recent flare up. I was in agony to the point I considered going to the ER. My sister told me that the only thing that worked for her was a liquid glycerin suppository. I was desperate so I gave it a try. OMG IT WORKED!! When I felt my stomach rumbling, I hurried up and gave myself the enema, and although it didn't help all that much with constipation (related to keto diet), the inflammation and pain immediately shifted from a 9/10 to a 3/10. This was four days into taking Rutin three times a day, cayenne pepper once a day, peppercorns three times a day, apple cider vinegar soak 3 times a day, and topical steroid cream – all of which barely touched my pain.

Immediately after the enema, the relief was nothing short of miraculous. I'm not sure if it has to be a certain type of enema, but I went with the LIQUID glycerin because that's what was recommended to me. I am currently on day two of recovery. To be proactive, I took an enema again today and now the pain is a 2/10. It didn't really make sense to me why a laxative would help, especially if the laxative didn't do the job of evacuation the colon, but it 100% did.

just making a quick post as someone who has been struggling with hemorrhoids for quite a few years and feel like I have started to make some progress. I came to the conclusion recently that I may have Celiacs Disease which was causing me all kinds of issues such as skin, digestion, liver, gallbladder etc. I also noticed drinking coffee was exacerbating the hemorrhoids. So after a couple months of Gluten Free, and avoiding Coffee & caffeine I feel like the hemorrhoids are actually starting to heal. I also have to avoid dairy as it contains gluten like enzymes (casein) which also affected me. If you have constipation (like I do) I recommend Magnesium Oxide twice daily to get things moving. Be advised you may have vitamin deficiencies if you went undiagnosed celiacs many years like I did, but I do not recommend multivitamins as many contain things you don't want or are made using petroleum.

Castro oil, blackstrap molasses, OTC 1000mg diosmin hesperidin for grade 3 prolapse

The first hemorrhoid I ever had in my life was when I contracted Covid in 2020. It was a grade 4 thrombosis prolapsed hemorrhoid that I had to have removed after it turned into a skin tag that would not go back in. Fast forward to 2026. I start experiencing pain and itching and I don’t know why. I touch myself and find a huge hemorrhoid sticking out of my butt. I tried castor oil on cotton pads, coconut oil suppositories, all with a heating pad whenever I was sitting down. The castor oil did remove the itching and shrunk it a little, but it stayed stable at the size of a medium grape which I could push back in, but would come back out every time I use the bathroom. After reading on Reddit and here I tried another approach because I’d had this hemorrhoid for a week now. it wasn’t getting any worse, but it wasn’t getting any better. I ordered diosmin from Amazon and dug out the black strap molasses in my pantry. I took 1000 mg three times a day, and 1 tablespoon of blackstrap molasses twice a day and before I went to sleep, put castor oil on a cotton pad in my underwear. The next day my hemorrhoid was quite a bit smaller. It was now the size of a small grape. Because I did not know which curative helped me. I did it all again the following night. day, three of waking up my hemorrhoid now stays inside on its own and has shrunk so much. I know I only need another day of this routine in order to fix it. It was a lot less invasive than having a doctor go up my backside with tools and a light. Less costly as well. I will continue taking the diosmin for another two days as required, then taper it off to 1000 mg once a day for the next four days. I’m going to take the molasses in the morning at night for the next two days as well and put the castor oil on when I go to sleep each night until it disappears. Which should be tomorrow. I can’t even tell you the relief. I feel that it has gotten smaller without any intervention.

protocol for hemorrhoids that I believe is working for me.

1. if constipation present use Magnesium Oxide to get bowels moving first before proceeding to step 2.

2. diet - avoid sugars, junkfood, GMO and possibly even corn & wheat altogether as Glyphosate or Gluten may destroy gut lining. I did carnivore diet but keto may work too.

3. Methylsulfonymethane Supplementation. This is where the magic happens. I did 1 tablespoon 3x a day. but doctors recommend starting at lower dose a to make herx dieoff reaction less servere. My herx lasted 7-10 days of headaches as candida died. You will want to build up to 2-3 tablespoons per day for 8 weeks. More stubborn cases may require Rx antifungals.

4. Rebuild. Rebuild intestines using L-Glutamine and Marshmallow root.

Keep taking small amounts of MSM for maintenance dose after 8 weeks then you can quit the Magnesium Oxide when hemorrhoids are gone. You can start adding back foods but stay organic.

Hello All. 40 Years of dealing with H's and just figured this out. Good luck to you all and I hope you are as happy as I am with the results. It's easy and no scary pills or painful applications. Just plain relief.

This worked to reduce my H's to almost negligible - in less than a week. I have struggled for years and tried most of the recommendations on this website, not to mention prescription meds and over the counter Prep H which does absolutely nothing.

Here are the items needed to fix your hemorrhoids in short order:

Cotton round/oval - in the make up section of the store

Aloe Vera Juice - the Pure liquid kind for drinking (kept in the refrigerator)

Zinc Oxide - baby diaper rash cream 40% Zinc Oxide

Turmeric powder - I ordered in bulk online and keep this in my medicine cabinet.

Directions:

Wet the cotton round with aloe vera and lay aside, squeeze a dab of zinc oxide paste on the wet cotton, sprinkle Turmeric power on top of that. Hold that on your tender area for 30 seconds or so. That's all. It is very soothing immediately. You are good to go and enjoy your day.

I used this twice daily for about a week and my years long H's have shrunk to very very minimal. Turmeric stains clothing - no big deal. Wash and keep in a special place for the next time you may need this treatment.

Zinc and witch hazel worked really well for me... I used to have a couple of small but recurrent and painful/annoying hemorrhoids and whenever I applied zinc oxide powder mixed with witch hazel for 2-3 nights they were completely gone/zero symptoms for quite a while.

Mine were triggered by constipation and how I got rid of them in the long term is by taking a small amount of magnesium oxide every night (in pill form). I now have no constipation (or very rarely), and no hemorrhoids, yay.

Rutin for Hemorrhoids

Just a thank you to all of you who suggested Rutin for hemorrhoids. I tried everything I could possibly think of, creams, ointments, suppositories, essential oils, horse chestnut, etc. Once I started the Rutin, and slowly increased the dose to 2 capsules twice a day, everything settled down beautifully. I’d suffered for years with both hemorrhoids and fissures. Thank you especially to the older gentleman who mentioned that at least 40 years ago he was advised by his doctor to take Rutin for hemorrhoids, and that now that he’s older, he needed to increase the dosage as the tissues thin with age. I’m about to turn 65 so that bit of advice resonated with me.

Calendula and Goldenseal Tea for Hemorrhoids

After some loose stools, I had a particular bad case of hemorrhoids. I have bleeding hemorrhoids before, and I healed it with hygiene and witch hazel. This time it came back, and witch hazel did not help. Tried castor oil and mouth wash, did not help either. I then put h2o2 on first then put gel from fresh aloe leave to sooth. It helped but it still bothered me though significantly less. I then made a tea out of golden seal root powder and dabbed it on. It helped but not completely. I then made a tea out of dried calendula flower and added it to the golden seal tea, so each portion is about half and half. I dabbed on the mixture. I could feel it made a real difference. I continued this tea mixture every time after a bowel movement. After a couple of days, I could not feel it anymore. Also, don't sit right the hemorrhoid spot. Elevating your bottom a bit, whether by tilting it left or right by lifting up your thigh or sitting on donut shape cushion, so that area is not touching anything. Hygiene is another must. Put some water on toilet paper and damp wipe until no spot after each bowel movement. Among all of the remedies I tried, the mixture of golden seal root and calendula flower tea worked the best.

Ozonated Oil for Hemorrhoids

Been suffering from non stop hemorrhoids for well over a decade. Enemas of all sorts never helped, they seem to make it worse sometimes. Tried ozone olive oil suppositories for vaginal or rectal use, I use promolife kind or made at home using purchased suppository molds, three placed at night, placed very shallow, not deep, push suppository in and don't insert finger into anus, left in overnight, wear some sort of padding for absorbing any leakage, did this nightly for about a week, then one day as I was sitting doing my normal straining, was normally expecting usual hemorrhoid to pop out, and noticed that all traces of hemorrhoids are completely gone for the first time in many many many years.

Witch Hazel for Hemorrhoids

I sat on a frozen cement step in the dead of winter and my mother told me I was going to get 'piles'. I didn't even know what she was talking about. Well unfortunately about a week later I did!!

I lived with this problem for a while until trying witch hazel. I mixed it with zinc oxide powder from the health food store which is another popular natural remedy and it worked! I would apply once or twice a day for 2-3 days and it would be pretty much entirely gone. It kept coming back however which was frustrating.

However it is almost completely gone now, rarely I have a few small symptoms but barely noticeable. I think that may be due to now taking magnesium oxide daily. I now have zero constipation whatsoever and no straining. I also use a stool to put my feet on. So those are the things that worked for me, best of luck to everyone!

Rutin for Internal Hemorrhoids

I tried many things over the past year for internal hemorrhoids. The hemorrhoids caused much discomfort, anxiety regarding bowel movements, pelvic floor spasms, etc. I thought something else seriously wrong.

I’m thrilled to say that after taking rutin capsules (twice a day) for a few weeks, the hemorrhoids are much, much better. I thank God for this and will go down to taking one capsule a day for a little longer.

Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide for Hemorrhoid Relief

I have not had a lot of experience with hemmies - thank my lucky stars! But I had an external one and put hydrogen peroxide on a cotton pad and applied it a few times and had relief! When you look into the amazing powers of hydrogen peroxide I'm not surprised.

My elderly father asked me to pick up the "H" remedy for him at the store. While I was there, I also got a jar of black peppercorns because I had seen the remedy while scrolling through Recent Posts some years before. When I dropped off the products for him, he said he would try the peppercorns before the OTC product. He swallowed 5 peppercorns for three days, and he said his problem was gone.

Prune Juice Helps Hemorrhoids

I have not yet tried garlic suppositories for my hemorroids but I got also good results by drinking prunes juice SunSweet from tesco ( little bit costy ) 3 boxes ( 1L each) / week. Prunes are rich in Fibres make your stool very soft and allow easy toilet and ease to pressure on veins and arteries in your anus.

Castor oil shrank my exterior Hemmeroid though now I am bleeding the day after?

I did a compress yesterday and this AM it had shrunk from a grape to a watermelon seed, though today I have bled (alot- the bowel was bright red~)twice with two BM's, will the bleeding go away? If this bleeding persists, when should I see a Doctor?

Garlic and Exercise for Hemorrhoids

After reading through the comments, I would just like to add something. Yes, I have found that garlic cloves inserted anally is the most effective remedy. I've had this embarrassing problem since I had babies in the 1970's. Initially, it was an external problem then became internal. I would wake up at night in excruciating pain and have to walk around and take pain killers until I got some sort of relief. Finally, around 10 years ago I found out about garlic (an Ayurvedic solution) and have used it ever since. Recently I noticed some new bleeding with every bowel movement and thankfully, have started the strict garlic insertion again. Seems to be working. BUT I wanted to know why this time, the bleeding was increasing. Then I suddenly realized that I have been sitting way too much (I am 76 and spend many days seated, doing art work.) Now, I force myself to stay on my feet for much more time each day and I think this is helping as well. So, I believe that staying active is VERY important--we were never meant to sit for hours at a time! I hope this is helpful to some of you!

And at 37 weeks pregnant I did not want to have them in labour so I used Coconut oil morning and night pressing it into the anal entrance and after a 2 days it healed.

Topical Apple Cider Vinegar for a Hem

Topical application of apple cider vinegar, just once, quickly helped heal a hem when it did not appear to be getting better after 4 days. I never have this issue, but something triggered it at the end of a quick trip to Costa Rica last week. Possibly a parasite? Very painful. 24 hours before the hem appeared, I felt like I was suddenly bitten in the rump by a scorpion. I wasn't, obviously, but the pain was searing for a minute or two. At any rate, after I returned home and it didn't seem to be getting any better by the 4th day, I read through every post on EC's hemorrhoid page and decided topical acv one evening before bed was the thing to try. Burned like the dickens, but much better the next day and totally healed after 2 days. I only did it once for about 20 seconds. Oh, I also took parasite cleansing herbs right away just in case.
