Like probably most on here, I have a dislike for conventional medicine, so my cupboards are full of jars and bottles for alternative remedies. I managed to get to the cupboard with difficulty, and applied castor oil and DMSO. It helped a bit and I eventually got a bit more sleep. But, when I got up, I could only shuffle around, and had to wear indoor shoes when I went out because it was too painful to wear everyday shoes or boots.
I managed to get through the day, and night with the help of more oil and resting it as much as possible.
Early this morning, I remembered I have CDS, which I bought for gum issues. I wasn't sure if it would work for gout, but looked on here and saw someone had taken MMS (very similar, but made differently, and harder on the stomach) with success. I then referred to Andreas Kalcker's book "Forbidden Health" and saw it's recommended for gout among numerous other applications.
I added 10ml to a liter of water, and began drinking it a 7am this morning, planning to take it in 10 equal doses between 7am and 3pm. At the time of writing, I have taken 4 of the 10 doses, and the pain has gone from a 7/10 to a 2 or 3. I am absolutely amazed.
I recommend that everyone keeps a bottle of this amazing stuff at hand.

I usually can tell when gout is going to come on because I start experiencing some stiffness and minor pain in one of the joints around my toes, foot or ankle and sometimes some stiffness in my finger joints. When I notice this starting to happen I start drinking at least 8 oz of pure black cherry juice every morning and to attach the gout more aggressively, I will drink 8 oz of the black cherry juice multiple times in a day. There are times where I may go through multiple 32oz jars of the black cherry juice before it goes away. On those times where the black cherry juice only puts a dent in the pain, I start taking "Malic Acid" supplements. In my search for natural things I could use for gout, I was drinking apple cider vinegar tea I would make. Upon more research I learned that ACV has malic acid in it, so I tried the supplements and it worked. I normally will take just one malic acid pill at a time, but if I have a bad bout of gout I will take 2 pills in the morning and 2 right before I go to bed. As my last product I will take if I have a particularly bad case of gout, I will take prednisone to help take the inflammation and pain away. For me it works better than anti-inflammatories. This seems to help the black cherry juice along with the malic acid to be able to work faster. One other thing is that I found that alcohol can be a trigger for gout for me.
Recently I decided to go ahead and have an 8oz glass of black cherry juice every morning, just to be proactive at reducing the uric acid buildup in my body.
Hope this information might help others who suffer with gout.

Recently, I had severe ankle pain on my left foot. Pain traveled from the lower ankle bone area to the heel of the foot. Took 4 tablespoons of ACV with mother (Bragg brand) with 1/2 teaspoon of Sodium Bicarbonate (Brand Arm & Hammer) mixed with little water. This would give me in total of about 1/4 glass of mixture. Sodium Bicarbonate kills the sour taste of ACV by fuzzing and thus making it easier to drink. After drinking this 1/4 glass of mixture, I immediately would follow it with a full glass of water. I drank this mixture twice a day for 3 days. Once in the morning before breakfast and one before going to bed. In addition, I used paper towel soaked in ACV and placed it on the ankle and wrapped my ankle/partial foot with Cling wrap. Further, I would additionally drink 4 to 5 additional glass of water per day. I should have drunk more glasses of water to help remove uric acid quickly which causes gout. Result : Pain gone in 3 days.
Same approach I used for my toe, which occured 4 years ago. The mistake I always make is not drinking enough water. I hope this info may help some one.

When you go across the sea to England you will find Wintergreen Oil is currently recognized in their official medical book, the British Herbal Pharmacopoeia as a specific remedy for rheumatoid arthritis. That means if you have joints, muscles and tendons, bones or nerves that hurt and you put Wintergreen Oil on the area externally, it fixes it. Wintergreen works in two ways, one way is to quickly relieve discomfort and the other way is to break up the uric acid or other deposits. Then the body can flush them out. This is why we say you should also drink a large glass of clean natural water. Even better, you can drink a diuretic tea. This is a tea which will encourage the kidneys to go to work. As examples, try Peppermint tea or Alfalfa tea to flush the crystals and wastes out of the body that the Wintergreen Oil breaks loose. It should also be mentioned here that this new disease you hear so much about called fibromyalgia is very similar to what used to be called by the old fashioned word "rheumatism". It just so happens that Wintergreen Oil can be used externally for rheumatism with pretty good results.
The benefits of wintergreen EO stem from its main compound, methyl salicylate (about 98%). Its analgesic effects rival that of the traditional over-the-counter painkillers, such as aspirin.
I’ve seen formulas back in the early 1900s with amounts of wintergreen oil as high as 10-40% dilution ratio with a carrier oil like olive and peanut oil and massage the joint pain areas and rub the pain away. Ringmaster Pain Relief Rubbing Oil (told to him by George Washington Carver and invented around 1950) Pain Relief formula conatins 40% Methyl Salicylate (wintergreen oil) 60% peanut oil.
Similar product from Philippines that falls under the old school proprietary medicines is EFFICASCENT OIL and can be found online. It contains (Methyl Salicylate 21% “wintergreen” + Camphor + Menthol + Eucalyptus Oil + Mineral Oil.
I make a very similar formula at 35% Menthyl Salicylate that I use on people with gout. The last time I used it was on a young man who had been grossly overweight but managed to loose most of the weight but suffered from gout in his knees. After 3 days of applying my formula, his gout in the knees was gone. I spoke to him one year later and asked if it had returned… he said NO

I have been taking anti inflammatory meds for 5 days along with celery tabs and drinking "ural" and water and lemon juice drinks. This has has made an improvement but still in pain and walking with a limp still.
I had woken up during the night in more pain than usual on the 6th day.
The next day I did more research on the net and decided to do the following:
1) Soak my toe/foot in the hottest water I could stand for about 20/30min
2) Then straight after I used a massager on high vibration and put my foot on it firmly for around 20min, concentrating on the painful area of my joint and around my whole toe area.
Within a couple of hours I couldn't believe it! ....I could walk normally with all my weight on my foot and just a bare minimum of pain. I woke up and was still the same.
I will be doing this method again today and for the next few days or more.
I believe the hot water loosened or help dissolve the crystals and the vibration helped remove them from my joint.
Please try this for yourself as if it worked for me it may work for you.

Has anyone tried monitoring their uric acid levels with pee strips? Has anyone used activated charcoal to keep gout at bay and if so, was it successful?
Thank you.

I came on this site earlier because I woke up with a painful toe joint this morning. I read a comment about apple cider vinegar being used internally and externally and lo and behold this afternoon I am able to walk without any pain!! Thank you!

I had a second gout attack this year, which began a couple of weeks ago (left big toe). The first time it happened, I drank lemon juice, and it took it away in a day. This time, it went on almost a week, until I was at my wit's end, and I called the local health food store. The lady who owns it told me to use Black Cherry juice. 1 TBSP black cherry juice CONCENTRATE with 3 TBSP water. So my sweet husband went right away and picked some up for me. Within one hour after the first does, the pain began to subside from a 9 to a 3. After two more doses, the pain left entirely. It did take a few days for the redness and the pain to the touch only, along the left side of my foot to go away.
Before trying the black cherry juice, I tried the lemon juice, baking soda, apple cider vinegar (with the mother), celery seed, tart cherry juice, and even the activated charcoal.

What helped was bentonite clay plasters applied externally. I always keep bentonite clay and so I made a thick plaster that wrapped most of the forefoot. Then I placed my foot in a plastic bag, tied the bag handles loosely around my ankle, and punctures a few small holes on the bag (top side). It's very important to let bentonite breathe because the evaporative effect is what draws the toxins. When the clay is nearly drying, it needs to be replaced with fresh one and the old one discarded as it has absorbed lots of toxic materials.
The main problem with clay plasters is that they are somewhat slow in acting, so the first night I did not sleep from the extreme pain. But after approx. 24 hours the pain had subsided enough and after 3 days was nearly gone.
The second day I tried skipping the clay plaster and the night the pain grew worse again keeping me awake. Then the 3rd day I reapplied a generous amount and the improvement was confirmed.
So clay is not the fastest remedy, but it works.

https://goutandyou.com/gout-and-burdock-root/#:~:text=What makes burdock root particularly, acid levels in the blood.
In the past I've successfully used celery seeds for gout pain. This time the celery seeds worked but the pain came back 4 times in different location on my left foot and ankle. The burdock seems to stop the crystals from forming.
A good approach would be:
