My young baby daughter got really bad diarrhoea when I was in Europe. The doctor told me to boil rice and the gluggy water that was left after boiling the rice to add it to her milk bottle I added a quarter milk and filled the bottle with rice water. She was happy as she had her bottle, next day she was better two days she was fine.

This is the home remedy my mother always used for diarrhea: Boil one ounce of rice to one quart of water for twenty minutes, then strain and drink.
