Hello Folks, yes it's me again!!

Do I hear groaning in the background - tut tut?

Would you like the bad news first?

If you do nothing else for your good self to-day, you really ought to listen to this lady-she has an important message to deliver.

If you sincerely believe that your health's future and that of your family is in your hands, then at least listen to what she has to say on the subject of early-onset diabetes or type 2 diabetes or whatever you choose to call it. Apparently, it is something that doesn't just affect other people! There's a surprise!

I have mentioned before on this Site that I struggle with an over-fondness for bread, which I find is hard to deal with, even though I am just a teeny weeny bit overweight (and certainly not obese). I just want to be pro-active with this issue before it gets on top of me. I need more won't power obviously! Obesity leads to a whole host of other health problems.

At the risk of sounding like a cracked, old gramophone record, as we get older we have more such issues to deal with (increased tendency to put on the pounds etc). Like the old adage "Until you are forty, your liver looks after you: after forty, you need to look after your liver". After all, who else will do so?

I think Dr. Grundy has a lot to say on this subject and would also be worth tuning into for additional information.

We all like our carbs I guess but perhaps we should start treating them with more respect or maybe a jaundiced eye?

Anyway, it's not all Doom, Gloom and Despondency, the Good Doctor Sarah Hallberg has a hopeful and encouraging message at the end, which I will leave for her to articulate.

Cheers and Good Health to you from Down Under
