Egg Whites Stopped 2nd Degree Burn on Face

Stopped 2nd degree burn on my face

I heard the remedy of egg whites from my great grandmother. I’m 39 years old now this was a couple years ago, but I was telling somebody else about the egg white treatment for Burns recently

I was working in the oil field in North Dakota in the middle of winter. It was actually Christmas Day 2022 it was -30° outside Fahrenheit I was a solid control specialist meaning I took care of all the dirt from the drilling rig as they drove new oil wells,

you’re completely by yourself when you work in this environment, no one will see you for 12 hours there was thick snow on the ground in a pump it frozen on me I drained the hoses, but in this temperature, they freeze quickly,

we were drilling with freshwater cause it was surface drilling meaning the first 2000 feet we drill I had checked the top of the hose and it was not frozen, and I removed the intake from the pump and it was good too so I decided to crack the discharge of the pump to see what the problem was we heat up the water to make sure things don’t freeze in this temperature. We keep it warm and water, moving the water naturally warm up because of the temperature of the Earth as we’re drilling down

this water was over 200°F

I cracked the hose a 3 inch line. It was under high-pressure. The pump blew and the hose and it threw me i’m 6 foot two and 220 pounds so it was a lot of pressure

it was very cold out, so I was wearing a ski mask the hot water went all over my face, especially on the left side

I ripped the ski mask off because the water was stuck on it, and it was burning me. I had a burns on my left side in the shape of the threads of the ski mask,

it was a buzzard outside. Everything was closed, and I didn’t like reporting things to the safety person anyway because they make a big deal about everything and you could potentially lose your job

so then I remembered something. My great grandmother had told me about egg whites I went into my room as we live on site in these conditions, this is a personal number. See you also is the middle of the night in a blizzard so nobody was looking anyway

I went inside and I eat a lot of bags so I cracked about six of them, took the yolks out and only use the white

I still have work to do so. I cracked them in a bowl, and I carried it with me and I kept applying it to the burn on my face which was substantial it was beginning to blister I kept doing this every five minutes all night as soon as I felt pain on my face from the burn, I would add more egg white I finished my shift up, and continue the treatment in my room, and I went to sleep with the egg white on my face

when I woke up, there was no blistering. It was only red the egg whites really work. It’s basically like plasma for humans I have complete faith in this method and I think if I would try to drive to a hospital before I treated anything I would’ve had bad blistering potentially permanent scarring on my face no need to even stop working with the egg whites

I very much trust this method and know it works

I hope this helps somebody else out. This is why I’m supposed to it. Have a wonderful day

so in conclusion, I used six eggs in a bowl. I kept the yolk in it. I just cracked it to let the fluid seep out without cracking the yolk, I then just use my fingers to keep applying it to my face probably a risk of salmonella, but I don’t really care.

this amount of egg White fluid was enough to keep applying to my face every 3 to 5 minutes as the pain came back I kept doing this anytime. I felt pain for the next two days, and there was no permanent damage to my face and it healed rather quickly. I was surprised how much by the next day.

Egg Whites for Burns--Best Remedy

A few years ago, on Christmas Eve, as I was preparing my contribution to take to our families party I burned my arm in my oven. I searched EC and found the egg white method. I scrambled the egg white and gently placed it on the burned area. I let it dry. Used a warm water paper towel to gently remove the egg white and repeated the process 3-4 more times. After this I had to shower before heading to the party. The warm shower water never bothered the burned area on my arm. A few weeks later a small water blister appeared on my arm and I had zero idea why. It took me a couple minutes to realize it was the same location as I burn I got on Christmas Eve. I've been using scrambled Egg White remedy ever since.

Yes, egg whites are shockingly effective for burns and can almost magically break a fever when applied to the soles of the feet. But here’s the thing: the secret lies in the prep, and most people miss it entirely.

Inside every egg are three parts: the thin albumen, the thick albumen, and the yolk. For this remedy, you want the thin albumen—the clear, runny liquid that comes out first when you crack the egg. The thicker, gloopy stuff that follows? Not your guy.

Here’s how to do it right:

1.Crack a small hole in the egg and carefully collect only the thin albumen into a cup.

2.Whisk it like your life depends on it (vigorously! ) until it’s frothy and bubbly.

That froth? That’s where the magic happens. Without it, the egg white’s potent healing properties won’t fully activate. I’ve only ever seen this fail when the prep was done wrong. Try it, see for yourself, and pass it on!

Egg Whites for Radiation Burns

Cancer patients take note: egg whites work for radiation burns as well:

I grew up with egg whites as a home remedy to relieve pain and speed up healing of burns (ones that had no broken skin). When radiation ended up being part of my cancer treatment I religiously followed up every treatment first with compresses of a solution of baking soda with water followed by raw egg white compresses. My radiologists were shocked that my VERY pale skin did not burn and blister. Aside from a bit of redness, slight itching and a couple of very small blisters I sailed through radiation thanks to this protocol.

First time I heard about egg whites for burns was from the book “Brotherless night” set in Sri Lanka. I followed that up with a medical study from Iran, then found this thread.

The Iranian study also suggested using garlic as an antibacterial ointment. There is so much healing in nature that we have forgotten in our rush for ”progress”

I was recently bitten by insect unknown in Portugal. My skin swelled in painful itchy seeping bumps for 3 days before a local reached down and plucked a “weed” from the field we were working in. He squeezed the yellow sap from the stem onto each of the swollen bites. Immediate relief! The next morning no sign of irritation and no scarring....I usually scar badly.

Hand Sanitizer for Lactic Acid Burn

I was using lactic acid to minimize some brown spots on my leg and unknowingly overdid it and was left with continuous burning sting for the past 3 days. So I tried apple cider vinegar, which only made it worse, probably because of the acetic acid, vitamin E oil, where there was no discernable difference and finally because of all the suggestions on Earth Clinic I tried some ordinary hand sanitizer w/alcohol. It worked almost instantaneously, so now there's no more sting!

Best Remedy for Blister Burn

Cindy (Illinois, US) on 03/19/2024
5 out of 5 stars

Burnt my finger last night in just below boiling point water. Raised a blister across the tip of my finger and across the entire width and about 1/4 inch up under my fingernail. And I couldn't tend to it right away so...anyway, I used various things, for very short of periods but not to actually remedy the situation - just to to see what would work best and THE best solution was urine. I suspected it would work so I used it last and, poof, no more pain. Not even while typing. I applied DMSO first, as I'd been wondering if it would increase effectiveness but I can't be sure if it did or not and now it's too late.

Strangely, the second best was LABS (lactic acid bacteria serum), as I had just made a batch and thought I'd give it a try. Obviously, it's not ONLY probiotics so...not sure what that's about.

Did not get to try mustard as I didn't have any and mustard seed is a remarkable herb so I'm sorry to have missed that.

I tried cold water, which felt good but only as long as I had my finger(s) in it (this is when I got enough relief to realize I'd also burnt both adjacent fingers).

Alcohol - not good but if that was all I had, I would not hesitate to use it.

Castor oil - no - not for the kind of speed one needs if one is working. No doubt, a castor oil wrap left on overnight would have done the trick but that wasn't the purpose of my experiment.

Aloe vera - no - not for speed.

iodine - that did pretty good, pretty fast - good enough for 3rd place and may have been even better if I'd actually immersed it in some Lugol's but I merely applied it.

ozonated olive oil - actually, that would be tied for 3rd place. A little quicker than the iodine but I was actually judging speed so we're talking seconds here.

I have some comfrey salve but it's not very "strong" and it's old, so I didn't try it.

Also didn't try oregano oil - wish I had because I just got some oregano seeds in the mail...oh well...

The blister is down and appears to be disappearing from the bottom up, getting narrower and narrower. Initially, It was my entire finger tip but now it's less than half that broad, with normal skin appearing to spread upward, reintegrating it...very interesting....might try the dmso/urine thing again and see what happens. In fact, I'm going to do that right now...I've been wondering if DMSO would actually extend the life of the stem cells...that's why I've been using them together, due to the stem cells in urine and the use of DMSO in tissue preservation.

Egg Whites for a Scalding Burn

Egg Whites: Great healer for a scalding burn

I burned my hand while holding a thermos bottle and pouring boiling water into the thermos bottle. For whatever reason the boiling water exceeded the mouth of the thermos and burned the back of my hand, between the fingers and the inside of the hand. Got the hand under cold water ASAP and left it there to cool it down which really helped prevent blistering, though the tissues did swell. Once the hand could leave the running cold water for a bit, I applied egg white to all of the burned area and then some. Let it dry and went on with the chores of the day. Within 1/2 hour of having the egg white on the horrible intense pain was gone and all that remained was very tender tissue. Needing to wash my hands a few times with the chores of the day I continued reapplying egg white for the rest of the day so that the hand remained with egg white on it for a good 8 hours during the day. Come night, there was still some very tender skin across the knuckles that attach the fingers to the palm of the hand and I opted to apply more egg white, let it dry, put a glove over the hand and go to bed for the night. Come morning the tenderness was still there, but less. With the immediate cold water and putting on egg whites as often as I felt was required, there are no blisters and the burn is healing quickly.

Aluminum Foil for Burns

I've been using this method for years after reading it here on Earth Clinic and I just wanted to say it does work. We have a glass top stove and the other day I managed to set my hand down on a burner I had recently used. Immediately I ran it under cool water for about 30 seconds and then covered it with foil right away, shiny side out. It took the pain away pretty quickly and healed completely in the time it took to sit down and watch a TV show or two. I've used this method for every burn I've had and it always works and there's never a mark or scar afterwards. Thank you EC and other users!

Egg Whites for Burns

Burned my little finger on my hand quite thoroughly. Here in Mexico Melipona Honey (from stingless bees) is predominant (over Manuka). This is an awesome remedy, BUT for quick relief, Egg Whites are the thing!!

After burning two fingers with hot water!, I first tried 1 Egg White!! This took the pain away, instantly! 10 mins later I used melipona honey over the area, wrapped it - and now, 2hrs later, its like it never happened! No bumps, no bruises, no injured areas! Its like it never even happened.

This was a bad one though, so I had to soak the burned area for, like, 10 whole minutes!!

Silver Gel for Burns

Mama to Many (TN) on 03/18/2023

My granddaughter got a bad burn on her palm and wrist. We immediately cooled the burn with cool water for many minutes.

After patting the burn dry we applied colloidal silver gel.

The burns were blistering. I did my usual treatment of plantain leaves and comfrey salve but after a a couple of days it seemed to be staying too moist. We switched to silver gel.

I applied a thick layer of silver gel to a gauze pad and held it on with cohesive tape. We were very impressed with the progress from the silver applications! The dressing does need to be changed twice a day or the bandage can stick to the wound and tear of tender new skin.

You can buy silver infused bandages on amazon, but gauze pads are cheaper, and I always keep silver gel on hand for burns, poison ivy, and other skin infections.

I once was trying to light my cigarette (I know not healthy) and it was windy outside I thought I was using my regular lighter but picked up a torch lighter and ended up burning the inside of my hand that was right next to my thumb and forefinger and boyyyy did it hurt. I remember running into the kitchen grabbing 2 eggs separating the yolk from the egg whites and taking a paper towel and soaking them in the white and placing it right on my hand . I then got a zip lock and put some ice cubes in and a dry hand towel and wrapped the bag of ice and placed in on the paper towel to keep the egg whites cold on the burn had to reapply after 20 mins and then after about another 15 the pain was completely gone. It was red but no longer hurt.. I run to this remedy now whenever I accidentally burn myself.and the best thing yet I never got a burn blister or a scar...

I used egg whites on a sunburn a few years back. I used a blush brush and brushed it on several times creating a layered effect. The egg white completely took the burn out of the skin and I was no longer in pain. It works great and I'll always use it for every burn from now on.

Egg whites really work. My mother was moving a corning ware dish with boiling water in it and the handle came off. Boiling water all over my leg. I whipped the jeans off (pain, pain, pain), my mother quickly broke some eggs, took the whites, and covered the large red burned area. Later there was still some red but 90% was clear. Thank you mom...and egg whites.

Colloidal Silver Gel for Steam Burn

Mama to Many (TN) on 10/03/2022
5 out of 5 stars

The other night I burned my index finger on steam.

I immediately put it under cold running water for many minutes to take out the heat. (An important step, because the heat retained in the skin can continue to burn the skin.)

I had just restocked my silver gel supply with a new for me brand. (Silver Miracles.) The pain stopped instantly when I applied the gel. I never reapplied the gel or did anything else. The pain did return but was not bad.

The next morning, in a hot shower, I didn't even notice it. (That is when I usually am reminded of a burn.)

I mentioned this to my neighbor. Interestingly, he said sliver gel works the same for him, but for his wife it doesn't seem to help as well. Everyone is different!

I had actually restocked the silver gel because my son uses it as part of his poison ivy regime.

Anyway, Silver gel is worth keeping on hand! (No pun intended. :))

Egg Whites on 3 Day Old Burn

I got a hot water burn on my hand. Treated with THC Honey and essential oils, which were all great and very soothing.

On day 3 small blisters showed up anyways; they were small and painless, but blisters can be a real problem. So I put 1 nice cold egg white on it. I would dunk my hand, then pull it out and let it dry and did this for 4 coats of egg white. I covered with more honey over that, wrapped in loose gauze overnight, and now the next day, no blisters and it feels great! Thanks, Earth Clinic!

Happy healing, everybody.

Apple Cider Vinegar Helped Severe Burn

Rob (Kentucky) on 02/20/2022

I called a friend of mine and at that very moment his mother-in-law (she suffers from Alzheimer's) had just put her hand on the stove burner from the tips of her fingers to the palm of her hand and she is freaking out and screaming in pain. They were going to take her to the emergency room at the hospital. So, I told him to get a washcloth, put it into a bowl and soak it in apple cider vinegar and wrap it around her hand. Then secure it in place so it won’t dry out to fast with plastic wrap so they did.

I told him to call me from the hospital once she has been seen by a doctor. Well, about one hour later, he called me to tell me that he had explained to the doctor that “a friend” had suggested they wrap the hand in vinegar. Her pain had disappeared about 15 minutes after that.

The doctor removed the plastic wrap and the vinegar cloth and discovered her hand was completely normal with no signs of a burn or blistering. He touched and poked the parts of the hand that were burnt and his mother-in-law said “no pain at all”. The doctor told them he really did not know of anything else to do the hand but keep a watch on it. Doctor also said your friend was pretty smart for thinking of this remedy. It saved her from a 2nd degree burn.

Aluminum foil works very well for stopping a burn from further damaging skin. I spilled boiling water on my left arm and wrist. Immediately ran cold water on it then wrapped with foil dull side facing the wound. It Stung like crazy for nearly an hour. I then added the baking soda and covered with foil and wrapped in plastic bag. About 5 hours later the skin is a little red with no blisters.

Lavender Oil is the Winner for Burns!

I'll explain why. I believe it is antibacterial and anti inflammatory. It's easy and clean to apply and doesn't get in the way like foil would. I use essential quality lavender oil. I like now foods brand. I just apply a sufficient amount on the burn. But first I ran my burn in cold water or ice water. Reapply if it still hurts.

I really feel this is the best remedy of all for burns, but hey if you don't have it, maybe you have foil use that. If you have a serious burn please go to the Dr. I ask that you donate to this site if you have been helped by a remedy, any little help. God is love - Sunny

My daughter sunburned the shins on both legs. They had 3rd-degree burns. Big yellow blisters. She could walk for about 3 days. I was told by an elderly man to soak gauze in Castor Oil and wrap her legs with the gauze and leave it for 3 days. The next day my daughter was able to walk. The 3rd day I removed the gauze and she was healed. Blisters gone. Her legs we just a shade pink. It left no scars. Awesome stuff.
