I had my daughter in 2015 and that is when I got BV for the first time. She was under a year, but I don't recall how many months she was. My symptoms were the yellow/cloudy discharge (often throughout the day) and the fish like smell. I was working at a doctors office at the time and one of the NP's was nice enough to give me an RX for a yeast infection because that was what I thought I had. When it didn't go away she gave me another RX and it still didn't go away so I decided to see my gyno. They tested me for BV and it was positive so they gave me an rx. It didn't go away. I eventually went to my primary care doctor who tested me for BV, Trich, gonorrhea and chlamydia. They all came back negative which was odd. The discharge never went away, at times I feel like it was off and on but mostly on. I went to an urgent care to get tested last year and BV was positive and the doctor gave me an RX. I waited for about 7 months and went back and he told me he would test me again and gave me a diff. RX, this time it was Clyndamycin. Prior to that RX the doctors aways gave me flagyl aka metronidazole. I took the clyndamycin and it didn't go away!!! The doctor made it clear he didn't want to see me again as it was an urgent care and told me to see my gyno which I haven't done. I did research and found boric acid, I ordered it off amazon after reading great reviews. When I first took it I decided to do it for 3 days. After the first night of inserting it I woke up and had some fluid coming out of my vagina so I wore a panty liner. it wasn't discharge though, I felt NO pain or anything. It was like instant relief though, I had no more discharge and felt it was too good to be true. After the 3 days I stopped inserting the capsule before bed and for a few days I was fine until my symptoms came back. So I took 10 days off or so and decided to try boric acid for 1 week and inserted one capsule before bedtime. The same thing happened, it seemed to be gone but this time after stopping it, the BV symptoms were back the next day. idk what to do, I'm planning on trying a diet change but its so hard. This is ridiculous. It really does suck and it makes me sad. If anyone has any recommendations please respond. I am planning on possibly doing actual research on Bacteria vaginosis but have to see if my professor approves it.

Ordered the boric acid capsules 600mg. It works amazing! Only thing is my boyfriend complains it causes him to tingle, I know he’s right cause sometimes after I shave and I put one up there and when it leaks it causes irritation on the outside vagina. Anyone know any other options?! A vegan Boric acid or what? This is the only thing that helps with that horrid smell!

I've been using the capsules for almost 30 days now, I've had a problem with bv for years, I used 2 capsules a day..1 in the morning & 1 before bed for 7 days & now I just use them 2 times a week...I also use 2 (not both at the same time) right after my period & 1 after sexual intercourse

Boric acid worked wonders for me. First store bought with little results, then homemade with little/temporary results. The only thing that cleared it up for me was I stopped having sex with my partner for two-three weeks with a nightly treatment of the boric acid. Will continue to use the boric acid after my period and after unprotected sex with my partner. (To be specific I ordered boric acid off Amazon and size 0 gel capsules) Also, to note I've had BV in the past and was able to clear it up with a Peroxide douche, but I have a copper IUD now and feel like it made it harder to ditch the infection.

I was prescribed boric acid every night before I sleep for 7 days and then whenever I feel symptoms after that. I have continuously been inserting every 3-4 days (twice a week) and I have been symptom free for 3 months now. Remember to wear a panty liner because you get a lot of watery discharge, which is all the bad stuff coming out along with the Boric Acid. You will also get some odorless discharge the following day, just wipe.

(I have had BV/Yeast for 2 years and I am so happy I found a cure that actually, without a doubt, works! )

BORIC ACID IS THE ANSWER.

I went to so many doctors for about 2 years, trying out different home remedies and also trying antibiotics. I believe I was diagnosed incorrectly at first as UTI, and got prescribed antibiotics. I was later then told the those meds make you prone to BV and Yeast.. Then begins my horrible nightmare for two years.

I had it recurring every month before my period; one week of yeast, next week BV, then my period with BV. At this point, I would have gone to my doctor and got antibiotics, so I would have one week that is good and then the cycle starts again. I thought it was the birth control I was taking so I switched, I eventually got my IUD done and the doctor advised me it is not good to take antibiotics to cure it. Advised to try some remedies she recommended, it did not work.

Anyways, I finally saw a doctor recently and she prescribed me BORIC ACID. I looked into it and kind of freaked me out because I read it is poisonous, and also used to kill mouse sometimes. But I also read it CURES, as what I call it, THE BROKEN VAGINA. LADIES, get Boric Acid prescribed or buy it online and pack it yourself (size 0 capsules). I used it everyday for 7 days initially and now I insert it twice a week (every 3-4 days) before I sleep. I have been good for about a month and a half, no symptoms at all. I also started taking women's probiotics 3 times a day, not sure if it has helped but I am afraid to stop taking it.

BORIC ACID. BORIC ACID. BORIC ACID. BORIC ACID. BORIC ACID!!! :)

I would like to share a remedy for bacterial vaginosis. First of all, I have found it to be correlated with Candida, so reducing sugar in the diet and using candida supplements have really helped prevent recurrences. But for treatment and remedy, the very best thing I have found is boric acid. The best way I've found to apply it is to get an empty gelcap and fill it with boric acid and use like a vaginal suppository. For me this usually eliminates any symptoms within a few hours. The only caution I would give is to make sure to carefully label both the original bottle and any prepared capsules as poison for safety because it is a toxic substance if eaten. I also would recommend keeping it out of the reach of any small children.

Best wishes to others and I hope this is helpful!

After going to the doctor millions of time being prescribed creams, gel, antibodies. Trying home remedies douching with hydrogen peroxide, ACV, Betadine etc. My yeast and bv kept coming right back. Those things would clear it in a few days but it would rear it's nasty head again. My last resort was boric acid pills I was so scared to purchase them and when they finally came I'm like I dont know if I want to put roach killer in me but I was desperate and tried everything else. Well let me just say they have been a life saver. Ladies Please try them I had been suffering from BV for 3 years and I finally found something that has gotten rid of it. Insert one at night. Wear panty liners the next day because it will run out of you. Do this for 7 days.

Question: I've battled with chronic BV for 8 years not knowing until recently what it was. Now I have a proper diagnosis and am treating it with Boric Acid. I've been inserting one homemade 600mg capsule before bed for the past 7 nights. The odor is completely gone. However, the discharge is still present in a pretty heavy amount. It is thin and clear to slightly milky. I'm curious if this is a stage of healing or if I need to up my dose and frequency. I'm elated that the odor is gone, but would love to completely eradicate the discharge. Any personal experience or feedback would be much appreciated.

Cured! After one year of suffering bv and a countless number of trips to the doctor. Prescription after prescription of antibiotics that only worked while I was taking them. The bv would return two days after stopping the course. I was prescribed boric acid 1 * 600mg capsule inserted at night for two weeks. To be honest I was a little unsure about using it but I would have tried just about anything to get rid of bv. I also inserted a vaginal health probiotic morning and night. I ingested two probiotics at breakfast. One for vaginal health the other an immune booster. I also started taking a multivitamin that helps to support a healthy female reproductive system. I made sure to eat well to support my immune system.

After two days of boric acid the symptoms were gone. After two weeks I finished the course and continued with the probiotics regime for a further two weeks. I'm just over one month free of bv. If you're reading this and suffering from bv I know your pain and I urge you to try this. You won't regret it. X
