Questions Re Serrapeptase for Wife With Organizing Pneumonia

Posted By Peter (Uk) on 03/01/2017

My wife was diagnosed with organising pneumonia which has now progressed to scarred lungs and on oxygen when walking. She is on steroids low dose cellcept and now pirfenidone to try and stop the scarring getting any worse. Several times we have tried to take serrapetase but each time she has been sick and can't take it. Now she is on all these drugs I am not sure if we dare try again, our doctor said we were not to try anything while on these but have been told by supplier that the reaction is due to acidity in stomach but she is already struggling taking existing tablets due to stomach side effects but even they have not caused her to be sick. I would so like her to take serra but don't like to chance it -any advice please.

Try NAC. My husband has COPD and I give one 600mg capsule in the morning, and one in the evening. He seems to be much better than before. He barely uses his rescue inhaler anymore. NAC is very good for clearing out excess mucus opening up the airways. Before after five yrs of not smoking he was still coughing up brown mucus. Now he coughs up none. He's been on it now for about 1 1/2 yrs. Good luck to you and your wife.
