How to Remove Bitterness of Ascorbic Acid Powder?

Is there any way to lessen the bitterness of ascorbic acid powder? I don't drink juices because of the added sugar.

Try some sodium bicarbonate, when fizz stops, drink.

Shadel, I put a pinch of baking soda in it add water let it react. Then the acidity is gone. You can also buy sodium ascorbate which is easily absorbed by the body. Which is the same. Janet

Dear Shadel,

I usually use 1/4 teaspoon ascorbic acid plus 1/8 teaspoon baking soda and a few ounces of water and find it quite tolerable and this gives you about 1,250 mg of vitamin C.

Sometimes I put the juice of 1 lime plus 8 ounces of water plus 1/2 teaspoon ascorbic acid powder (ascorbic acid) and 3/8 baking soda. It is quite pleasant, though not sweet. That gives 2,500 mg of vitamin C.
