Hi Viola,
I just wanted to reply to your comment on finding an anti-inflammatory. A year ago my doctor wanted to put me on celebrex for painful inflammation due to endometriosis. I was a little hesitant, because of the side effects. Around the same I had been considering drinking more green tea, because I heard it was better for you than coffee. I read somewhere that it was also good for fighting inflammation. I wasn't expecting much, but thought it was worth a try. So i started drinking 2-3 cups of green tea a day. It's been amazing> i was dealing with painful inflammation everyday, and now, as long as I drink the tea, its gone. i never had to go on the celebrex. If i miss a day or two, i can feel the pain start up again, but then i drink a few cups and it subsides. Its been a life saver. I just wanted to share that with you if your open to alternatives. i don't even consider it an alternative, it was really the best option. good luckReplied by Tanya (Gold Coast, Australia) on 09/13/2010
Hi Viola,
Not sure if this will help, but the MSM might be helping you detox, but you do have to be careful of the quality of MSM, also I have had numbness in two of my fingers and it ran up my hand and into my arm at night, it turned out to be a bone out in my elbow that was blocking the flow, we see a very good Chiropractor who adjusted my elbow and there was no more numbness, if it comes back I just have my elbow adjusted.

Hello Tanya, I also have had numbness in my pinky and 3rd finger with funny bone feelings constantly, no strength and minimal movement. I was refered to a neurologist and I have been diagnosed with cubital tunnel syndrome which is similar to carpal tunnel but its the nerve tunnel that hosts what we know as the funny bone. I am getting surgery to relocate my nerve to inside of my arm. I'm a concreter and I need my hands so I have no option. I just wanted to let you know. Also, I have started taking pure msm for a folicititus, psoriosis of the nails and other skin problems that I always seem to develop. I have seen no real change yet and was wondering if anyone has used msm for these skin conditions with positive results. My skin gets so bad some times I dont want to be seen in public. I hope to hear some good feedback.Replied by Mmsg (Somewhere, Europe) on 02/14/2012
Jarrod, some have suggested magnesium (try transdermal, meaning putting it on your skin) for numbness.Replied by Gavin (Manganui, Northland, New Zealand) on 02/14/2012
I had that numbness. I dropped taking the supplements and it cleared up.. I think it was to much zinc and magnesium, as I was taking it on an extra pill above the C..... Which I discontiued as I didn't trust the way it was made. Plus there was some discusion in the higher amounts of cancer in those oldies that were taking it, since it's made from petro chemicals, I've been looking for natural alternatives.Replied by Maria (Gippsland, Australia) on 02/14/2012
Hi Jarrod, As you would know concrete is alkaline so could your skin problems be because of this? Our skin is supposed to have an acid mantle which helps protect it. Doing your work, and working in the heat you have more skin exposed, I would suspect that you don't have the acid mantle protection after starting in the am thus leaving your skin unprotected and way to alkaline till rinsed and the mantle builds up again. To help with the acid mantle put some ACV in a sprayer bottle with water and spray your skin after showering. You may even try it after rinsing your hands or skin through the day - this may not be to practical I know. Also try some of the other successful remedies here. Psoriasis Remedies
