Colloidal Silver and Bloodwork

Posted By Betty (CA) on 03/09/2022

Does anyone know the significance of using colloidal silver and the effects on blood panels? Say like ferritin and copper? Have you seen it help lower these panels over time?

Betty,

Using CS as a long-term treatment to modulate zinc and ferritin levels does not seem like a good idea as it can have an impact on the gut microbiome balance and it can promote bacterial resistance.

Higher dose Zinc can reduce copper absorption and melatonin has shown the ability to lower ferritin serum levels. Both have the potential to offer other health effects. Zinc can increase plasma ferritin levels while decreasing serum ferritin levels.

Thank you for your input, Art!

Ferritin is creeping up but ceruloplasmin is steadily decreasing, which is what I want just need both to decrease.

High iron and copper is not good with cancer so we keep a close watch on those two.

I was hoping the CS would give me a boost in the right direction. I have no real knowlege of how CS effects bloodwork. I am fascinated with learning more about it on a deeper level.

I'll up the melatonin from 20mg T.I.D to maybe 30mg T.I.D to start.

I was blown away that you take 120mg before bed. I would be afraid I'd sleep the next day away, lol.

I take a compounded drug for ceruloplasmin and also zinc with B2, B6, and molybdenum in it.

And of course, my biggest problem is still IL8. My achilles heel I guess. I can get it low then BAM, it's up again.

Betty,

Colloidal silver (CS) is generally used as a broad-spectrum antiviral, antibacterial or antimicrobial and as such should generally be used somewhat similarly to equivalent prescription drugs, only when needed and stopped once the pathogen has been neutralized.

CS has also shown itself to have some anti-cancer/antiproliferative effects and when used for that purpose may require longer treatment. One of its anti-cancer effects is similar to chemotherapy in that it causes a rise in oxidative stress, specifically Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) which can have a negative impact on cancer cells which tend to be less stable than normal cells and are more adversely affected by increased oxidative stress than normal cells. CS is a much weaker oxidant than chemotherapy and does much less damage to normal cells than chemotherapy.

Another method by which CS can exert its anti-cancer effects is by disrupting cancer cell membranes so that silver ions can then enter the cell and destroy it. This is a similar action that is seen in viral and bacterial pathogens.

A lot is still not known about the exact mechanisms by which CS impacts cancer cells, but studies are ongoing. Here are a few studies that give you an idea of what is currently known about the activities of CS when it comes to cancer.

This study involves breast cancer and CS :

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/labs/pmc/articles/PMC8844081/

This study involves colon cancer and CS :

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/labs/pmc/articles/PMC8573457/

This study involves colon and prostate cancer and CS :

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/labs/pmc/articles/PMC7802595/

So the science still has a long way to go, but I am not too excited about the prospects of CS for cancer because the current treatments for cancer are very very expensive and are huge moneymakers for the pharmaceutical giants that produce them. On the other hand, CS is relatively very very inexpensive and not something that drug companies can make much money on, and in my opinion, they will do what is needed to ensure that their profits are not diminished if at all possible.

This means that people who determine that they will consider CS as part of their anticancer protocol will essentially be on their own in that respect.

Thank you, Art!

Skimming thru the 2nd article I noticed CS has effect on p53, hmmm. That is a good thing.

I also take many of the other flavanols.

CS is encouraging. I will be watching bloodwork.

I will read more indepth later tonight.

The medical field is a dangerous disaster to say the least.

Hey Art, I am going to take weekly CEA's while doing CS. I just had my first CEA since starting CS protocol 2 weeks ago. It has lowered a .3. So, not much progress so far but I'll take it. Waiting on more indepth bloodwork and will compare it also.

Hi Betty,

What type of silver are you using and how many mg/day are you taking? If you are getting CEAs at regular intervals, it should be relatively easy to test dose escalation after you have another test at your current dose. If you are doing melatonin at all, it may be helpful to keep the two as far apart as possible. I use a fairly high dose when treating something serious and I sometimes use a significantly higher loading dose than what will be my regular dose.

I guess a .3 reduction is relative to what your level was previously. If it was 1, that ain't bad, but I suspect it is significantly higher. I look forward to your updates.

On an unrelated note, how is your brother doing? You haven't updated in awhile.

I am being very respectful of CS by taking 1/2 teaspoon once every other day around 2pm as I am not sure if any interaction with other supplements (like melatonin for example :). Yes, CEA is always around 13 +/-. So, high side. But no sign of disease by scans of every type so far. My center really wants me under an oncologist but no way. They only offer poison so I am out. They don't offer IVC or IV anything natural. They look at me cross eyed I think when I bring up certain things, ha. I do take xeloda and have no side effects at all thank goodness.

I have been keeping check on bloodwork results, not posted yet. Patience is a virtue I lack.

If bloodwork looks good I will change CS protocol to increase dosage. It's a waiting game.

I am going to see a TCM doc Monday for consult/discussion about detoxing lymph nodes and blood. I hope I am impressed. I have heard good things about him but nothing anti-cancer wise. We shall see.

My brother is doing great and looking great. He has his diabetes under control. 1 shot per day still. He jokes that I am torturing him because it takes him 30 minutes to choke down supplements, lol. I take way more than him. He has no idea how much is really alot.

Thank you for asking. You helped me so much with figuring out a protocol for him and it works beautifully. I am so grateful for you.

OH, forgot to answer question about what kind of CS. It is the one earth clinic sells.

Replied by Art (California) on 03/13/2022

Betty,

Well, that is a very low and safe dose of CS to be sure. When you figure that there is about 5 liters of blood in the body and you are going to be adding a fraction of one milligram of silver to those 5 liters, it is a very low and safe dose, but it may not be optimally effective. Part of that dose you are taking will be lost to agglomeration and in the stool, it is really not much at all that will be active in your system.

It will be interesting to hear what your TCM doc has to say!

I don't remember if we have discussed it or not, but Berberine is also active against cancer. Many plants/herbs used in TCM, have Berberine as an active component of the plants used. Berberine has many health benefits that TCM has exploited for a long long time through various plants. Now the health benefits of Berberine are being "rediscovered" by science. I am of the opinion that berberine and melatonin have synergy together and both have anticarcinogenic effects.

It is very good to hear that you have gotten your brother to such an improved state of health from where he was! Now you need to concentrate on you!

I look forward to your updates!

Thank you for synergy tip. I take Berberine and melatonin just not together.

I really hope the TCM dr can help me nail down if the cancer has a fungal/bacteria component. We do know it has a parasitical component. Reason I say this is when I first started taking Ivermectin and a few other anti-parasiticals CEA dropped 10 whole points in a month but now it is stuck in low teen range. We also keep an eye on cancer pathways and keep them knocked down. The dang IL8 is really deflating half the time. Mostly bloodwork is good other than CEA, IL8 and wNT. CD's are in range but getting more optimal. Lymphs are finally increasing after 2 yrs since radiation. I should have never agreed to radiation but just didn't know at the time what to do. Cold hard steel (surgery) is what I should have done up front instead of SOC gauntlet.

For scans, I read a little something from an alt clinic that high dose melatonin before a scan is a good thing. You got any info/knowledge about that?

I will keep updating.

Thank you so much.

Replied by Betty (CA) on 03/13/2022

Not wNT....vWF I struggle with also.

Sometimes I get mixed up with whats what in bloodwork. Sorry about that.

They both have a short half life, so you may be able to get overlap between your dinner berberine dose and your evening melatonin dose. I generally take one berberine with my melatonin

Berberine has significant antiparasitic and antimicrobial activity as well as the ability to modulate the gut microbiome toward healthier bacterial balance. CS has modest antiparasitic and antifungal activity. Melatonin, CS and berberine are all anticarcinogenic through different modes of action suggesting potential synergy in that respect. Dosing is important in order to get the desired effects.

If a stronger antifungal is needed, Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE) in the liquid form is potent and also a potent antimicrobial.

Regarding IL-8 inhibition, the other GSE, grape seed extract from the list of IL-8 inhibitors I posted before is one that is generally well tolerated.

Melatonin is an inhibitor of the Wnt/beta-catenin pathway as well as IL-8.

A rebounder can be helpful for stimulating the lymph system to help improve immune response.

On your last question, what type of scan are you referring to?

Betty,

I forgot to mention that just in case it is needed, melatonin has been shown in studies to be a potent mycotoxin inhibitor.

That is encouraging also! Thank you. You are teaching me things.

Melatonin for PET/CT scans. I read I believe it came from a Clinic in Arizona about melatonin and scans. Something like 300mg a few hrs before a scan? Have you ran across any studies about melatonin and post radiation purging. All they tell me at the hospital rad dept is start drinking lots of water immediately after a scan.

I am respectful of things until I know more for sure. Research all I can when I can then dig some more.

Replied by Art (California ) on 03/13/2022

Oh, I understand now. Yes, definitely as these both involve radiation and potentially to a greater extent than x-rays. Melatonin is a proven radioprotectant. I can't tell you what to take, but if I was having those scans myself, I would dose high shortly before the scan (half hour) and would also get a couple of mornings of early morning sun exposure (1/2 hour), especially the day of the scan. I would also dose high again immediately after the scan. I say this for me, because I know I tolerate high dose melatonin, but I can't recommend anyone else do this. Excess radiation has shown the potential to increase cancer and that is why I would try so hard to protect myself. That sounds like a very progressive clinic! I would also keep my bottle of melatonin with me in case things are delayed for some reason. Art

TCM consult went well. I was impressed with his knowledge of extensive bloodwork. He was equally impressed that I have indepth panels documenting the trends/history. He will study panels and we will regroup Saturday hopefully for a plan to enhance what I already do.

Another note, my daughter went also about some issues. He did accupuncture, tapping and taped mustard seeds at certain points on her ears (thyroid, digestion, sugar cravings, appetite points). She is to come back on the 4th day to have them replaced. Interesting! I had read about mustard poultice recipes for upper respiratory, inflammation, pneumonia ect. This was a first about seeds on the ears.

Update: TCM Dr put me on Hemo Him for now. It's for chemo and radiation damage. It should balance out WBC and RBC. He needs to study me more before any more rec's. I will research this TCM more. Never heard of it before.

Acupuncture went OK. My right side and left side of the body are really out of balance. I could only feel the tapping sensation on my right side head to toe.

VitD levels are too high he says, currently at 98. This could be why some of my markers reflect auto-immune disorder he suspects. Rec to back off the vitD to bring it to 80 and see what bloodwork reflects then.

No mustard seeds on the ears for me thank goodness :)
