Dear Selena,
If you can eat oatmeal, it supposed to be very good for lowering cholesterol.
Years ago in college, I was eating homemade oat bran muffins every day. I had some bloodwork done just cuz and my cholesterol was super low. Now, perhaps that is just normal for me and I was young.
My husband's cholesterol was borderline high a year ago. His doctor recommended some supplements to try instead of statins.
He took CoQ10 and Fish oil and Hawthorne very, very faithfully for a solid year. Unfortunately, it only lowered his total cholesterol a tiny bit and the triglycerides were actually a bit higher.
Doctor still not overly concerned, so now my husband is just doing oatmeal for breakfast about 6 days a week. We are only a couple of months in so I have no results to report, but thought I would mention it. It is easy to use in conjunction with other remedies if it suits your diet and taste.

Selena,
From the people who have told me it is effective for them, they have told me that it takes them between 1 1/2 tablespoons up to 2 1/2 tablespoons of soy lecithin granules, depending on their weight.
