Supplements for Southeast Asia Travel?

Posted By Zoe (England) on 09/02/2026

Hi
Can you offer any advice for someone travelling to south east Asia (Thailand and Indonesia) regarding the best supplements to take. Also travelling with a child so something a child can have.

Thanks

Dear Zoe,

I don't travel anywhere without my activated charcoal! It is great for stomach issues of all sorts. Bad food, stomach bug, gas, bloating, heartburn, indigestion. If you get tablets (not capsules) children can chew them. They are chalky but tasteless. You can crush a few up to make a poultice to draw out infection. There are lots of cures reported with charcoal here at Earth Clinic.

I would also take a pain reliever. You could take children's chewables that could be taken by you or the child. I try to travel with benadryl, too. Again, you could take children's chewables along.

I assume you would be able to find coconut oil or coconut milk Thailand for an antiviral. And garlic should be available, which is anti-viral, anti-parasitic, and anti-bacterial.

Have a great trip!
