Questions About Rheumatoid Knee Arthritis and Borax

Posted By Shruti (India) on 07/15/2018

Dear Ted,

I have been suffering from Rheumatoid arthritis since 8 years and have been having a swelling on my left knee which would just not go no matter what I try.

I started taking 8 mg boron per day and it's the 10 th day. I feel slight difference but the swelling isn't going. Please tell me how long does herx reaction last.

Will soaking my knee in borax water help?

Also would taking gelatin help with the joint pain and cartilage.

Please advise.

Hi Shruti,

Yes, you should keep taking 1/8 teaspoon of Borax in one ltr. of water per day, five days on two days off. This will help you in your pain. Also, you should include ginger and turmeric in your daily use, maybe in your tea, etc. For inflammation, you can use castor oil pack or do hot and cold fermentation.

Good Luck,

Baldev

Hi Shruti...If you are following Ted's Borax protocol properly then you should either be taking 1/4 tspn borax( 1000mgs borax) for a man or 1/8 tspn borax (500mgs) for a woman in a liter of water and you should drink that slowly throughout the day. You should also be taking this protocol as a 5-days-on/2-days-off continuous rolling protocol. Here is some information on Teds Brax protocol:

The Borax Protocols

You also say that you are taking only 8 mg of boron. That's too small. If you are taking Ted's dosage of borax -- sodium tetraborate per day -- then you will be supplementing the equivalent of about 60mgs(for a woman) or 120mgs(for a man) of boron per day.

I also know that Borax is fairly harmless -- it is not poisonous at such low dosages -- because borax has the same MSDS toxicity profile as common table salt. The LD50 lethal dosage of borax is 20 grams.

Here is a research review article on borax which describes all its various beneficial health effects:

Nothing Boring About Boron

I've also been taking Ted's Borax Water protocol for about the last 11 years. I'm 68 yo with no aches and pains, heart good, bone good, reasonably fit and nothing really wrong with me, i.e. no auto-immune disease. My simple advice to you is to take Ted's Borax protocol in the right way and at the right dosage -- then hopefully you might see some beneficial results.
