Karen, i have found that since tumeric works better and is better absorbed in a oil base, that i mix 1 tsp of tumeric and 1tsp of coconut oil, which is a solid. Make a paste of it and then I just place it at the back of my mouth with a butter knife so that i can swallow it directly without having it touch the rest of my mouth. If I dont have coconut oil I mix it with a nut butter. peanut or almond. It works! hope this helps. SaraReplied by Tim (Princeton, NJ) on 07/07/2009
I brush with 3% H2O2 + Baking Soda & also use 3% H2O2 as mouthwash just after taking turmeric. My teeth are whiter than before. Good Luck!Replied by T (Maryland, USA) on 07/07/2009
You could try rinsing with regular 3% hydrogen peroxide after brushing (I dilute mine; some don't). Just swish it around your mouth for a few minutes and spit out. As far as capsule expense, I buy turmeric and caps in bulk from an organic place online and just make my own. It's cheaper than buying filled caps at a health shop and I like knowing mine are organic and have no fillers. If this really isn't a viable option for you, try the HP rinse. It should brighten your teeth nicely if used regularly.Replied by R (Sarasota, FL) on 07/07/2009
Dear Karen,
The first thing that comes to mind is oil pulling. To the left of the home page there is a link for oil pulling. There are many benefits, which both my husband and I have experienced including whiter teeth, healthy gums, no sentivity issues etc. I also use turmeric and do not have any stains on my teeth from it.Replied by Rob (Manhattan, New York ) on 07/09/2009
Drink with a straw, so less contact with teeth..I do this with ACV as well. oil pulling has worked great for whitening teeth, though turmeric
may be stubborn.
