I am Combining Multiple Herbs and Supplements - Is It Safe?

Posted By Siouxanne (Maumee, Ohio) on 09/14/2015

I have struggled through life with ADHD which I only identified 5 years ago. Also I came to realize that I suspect I suffer from mild depression. I want to know if these below herbs/supplements are safe to take together as they seem to be working very well for me.

Everyday in the morning I take:

  • Fish Oil 1200 w/720 Omega-3 memory & cognition
  • l-tyrosine for memory & cognitionPueraria Mirifica 500 mg for hot flashes
  • postasium iodide 225 mcg for depression
  • lithium orotate 120 mg for depression
  • Mucuna Pruriens 400 mg for depression
  • pramiracetam 250mg for memory & cognition
  • centrophenoxine 300 mg memo
  • brahmi 250 for alertness
  • DMAE for ADHD
  • Ester-C 1000 mg for Anti-oxidant properties
  • Vitamin B12 2500 mcg for energy
  • MSM for mild hip & knee joint pain
  • Triple Magnesium complex 400 mg for sleep
  • doxylamine succinate 25 mg for sleep
  • ....NOW I want to add 1000 mg of He Shou Wu for liver & kidney support and it also acts as a calming herb for good sleep I understand.

I am 61 years old this November 5' 1", 134 lbs

I eat very fresh and natural with minimal complex carbs and light alcohol use and a non-smoker.

I get very light exercise due to a weak right knee and a recent mild left hip injury. I am going to a chiropractor who practices holistic supplements & spine manipulation measures to address the hip & knee following an MRI on both.

My question is...

Can I safely mix all of the above? I am getting excellent results after years of attention, motivation and depression issues.

Most grateful for your opinions.
