Can multiple remedies and supplements be combined

Posted By Jean (East Tn) on 05/21/2015

Please help: Is there any reason that supplement capsules can't be taken apart and dumped together into... something like juice ...?

2 Turmeric, 2 DIM, 2 Garlic, 2 Milk Thistle, 2 Colostrum, 1 Acidophilus, 1 Astragalus, 1 Digestive Enzymes, 1 Olive Leaf Extract, 1 Vit C w/Rosehips -- these powders in capsules are all being taken together with some gel cap stuff like 2 Omega, 1 Vit K, 1 D3,1 Aloe Vera.

The ACV/BS is being taken 1 hour before or 2 hours after; the supplements are being taken after breakfast and again @ 10 pm (not necessarily with food).

Also want to ADD magnesium, potassium, elderberry syrup and possibly echinacea capsules to the established regiment.

Dear Jean,

If you are taking them all together and having no trouble, I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to empty the contents into juice or a smoothie. They are all going to be mixed together in a few minutes in your stomach. You may also end up finding this method saves you money. Many of the things you list can be bought in bulk in powder form and that is always cheaper in the long run than pills.

For my little ones, if I need to give them something that is normally in a capsule, I mix the contents into applesauce or yogurt.

One can also purchase any number of nutrients in bulk or powder form from major online retailers like Ebay or Amazon. Superfoods like Brewers Yeast and Bee Pollen are good candidates for adding in drinks as they are not easily taken by mouth.
