Boron and Levothyroxine Interaction

I'm 65 yo female, this is day 4 on boron and I am excited! I am wondering if boron will interfere w levothyroxine. I have stopped all meds, even reclass for osteoporosis but since I took radiation to kill thyroid cancer not sure of my chances if I stop levothyroxine. What might replace levothyroxine? Your thoughts, please, and thank you 🥰

Dear Catherine,

Personally, I would not stop levothyroxine.

I take a thyroid med and have not noticed any bad interaction taking that and borax (which has boron in it.)

If you are concerned, though, one option would be to take them at opposite times of day. You likely take thyroid in the morning...you could try taking boron in the evening.
