Always Get Sick When Traveling - Please Suggest Remedies

After 3 to 4 days of traveling outside my current hometown which is in Chapala, Jalisco Mexico, I always get sick. Deep cough or sinus infection cold, flu-like symptoms. This has happened to me three times in 3 years.. once in Mexico on the East coast, once in Lisbon, and now in Mexico City. Does anybody else experience these problems or have any suggestions?
