Cat Treatment for Sarcoptic Mange?

Posted By Choppersprtygrl (Silver Springs, Fl, USA) on 01/29/2012

I have 7 cats and 5 of them have the symptoms and I know they have mange from a stray that was here. I started treating them with the borax/peroxide solution and now I noticed they are licking their bottoms alot and their back ends. Do I need to dip their whole bodies or what? And also I seen something that said to deworm. Should I do all at once because I don't think they have worms.

try unrefined coconut oil. Rub into the skin very well. Also give them about 1/8 teaspoon to eat. If they like it they can eat it from your finger. unrefined coconut oil will kill the mites.

How often must I apply the coconut oil? Are there any other treatments that are safe? Please advise. Thank you. Wendy
